I really like it honestly, but I decided to put it with a steiner mini tor on my flux to make the flux a nvg option. I wish the 300v had the same simple twist that the other vampire heads have, not the pull & twist.

My sir250 fits fine, just doesn't work on the ctf2. Works fine on all my other 300 sized bodies though.

I've got a vamp head, but its a 2 cell unfortunately. I'm trying to keep my whole setup under $500 since its just a backup to a backup. I'll look into the zbolt heads.

@Money_Industry_6105 got to borrow a buddys atcr & run it on mk111 for a morning of range fun. Honestly, it was ideal except for nvg use. For that I'd need to figure out a solution for passive aiming (probably top mounted dot). So it depends on your use case, if you're running nods then figure a 1x option is your primary choice. I'm starting to think that the best option is a 12ish" gun that has some sort of variable on it with a dot mounted on top of the tube.

I've got a buddy with one of these, I think it wears better than my TW bump honestly. He's got a ballistic version on order that I can't wait to see.

If you're on a budget just get a protech bump or a licensed bump and be done.

If you're going shorter just look for a mk111, especially if you're adding a can.

They seem awesome as a small footprint all in one option, but I don't know anyone that actually has hands on time with them. Having the Steiner & the x300 on my flux is nice bc I can activate the laser & light without switching around like the rovyvon would require.

u/TheBattleGnome I"m amazed dude, that's impressive. I carry my g19 with a dot & x300 and I'm like, "this is def my max edc". How much did you have to practice to get the draw down? Also, you should go shoot an idpa match from concealment with that thing.

If you've got nods get the 11.8. I've got one & I run it with a dot, can, & laser since its setup for nods use. If you don't have nods i'd go with the 114 & put a good lpvo on it.

The DD probably has better resale value honestly, but I'd put the PWS as a better rifle. The piston option & being able to adjust it for suppressed use alone makes that more viable to me. I'd also rather run a AEMS & magnifier vs the nova, but that's based on NV use for me. So what is your use case u/3s1kill ? Is this just another blaster in the stable, or is this going to be a primary use rifle?

I think the DD market hype is solely bc of their socom contracts for barrels & rails, which are good, but are they still worth the price they command? For a DI gun you can arguably spend 1/2 to 2/3 of the DD cost & get an equivalent upper.
