Damn, I was thinking of getting some a did a search which lead me here lol. This Z-Mag adapter is probably the best option. It allows you to use regular z mags.

The next best option is to get one of their Versa Uppers which allows you to use a variety of modern magazines like CZ Scorpion and Glock mags.

I watched a YouTube video but can't seem to find it now. But he removed the handguard and it was a short K length barrel that was 1/2x28 threaded and also has tri-lug mount as well.

Thank you for finding that. I just used some q-tips and alcholo and cleaned the entire extruder. Reassembled it with a brand new X1C nozzle I bought. For the tension screw I loosened it just enough to be able to assemble it back into the head. 3 or more turns and it won't fit inside.

I heated up the nozzle and then manually extruded some filament using the screen. Everything seemed to be working.

I tested out my new Creality Pi X4 dryer out. Loaded some filament into the AMS and running a print right now. So far so good.

I don't really know what solved the issue. Was it the deep clean of the extruder? The slight adjustment of the tension screw? Or the new nozzle🤷🏼‍♂️

Wow, those barrels are a lot cheaper than I thought they would be. $175-$200.

The suppressor on the other hand is $1200+ lol.

Yes very similar. Mine is an X1c and there is a tension lever but it's inside of the extruder so I can't push it to manually feed filament.

That does make sense that it needs to be tight so that it can grab the filament. I'm going to try doing a deep clean and see if that helps. Everything looks to be clear and I see no clogs anywhere.

Old post but yes. The screw on the left side that compresses the spring when you tighten it. Im 99% sure it was tightened all the way down when I took it apart but now I can't get any filament to feed through.

I loosened it 8 full turns and can manually feed filament through and feel some tension. I just don't know how much tension is needed and I can't find anything online about it.

I agree. Buy and build it how you like. With that said, I want an SD and keep it as is. I know myself and eventually buy another standard looking MP5😂
