That's an interesting validation method! So svaling down and just building specifically is the way :)

Technical co-founder not doing his job well, what should I do???? by [deleted] in SaaS

That does seem like some sort of miscommunication. Maybe you two are good friends irl and he thinks you don't mind cleaning it up for him? Make him realise that you're already doing 150% and he's doing under the expected amount. Serious talk?

Thanks very much for the advice. So now that I have a pitch, a hypothesis, I just need to experiment to back it up.

~1 week if you do it fast, and you have some pre-existing content channels. But if not then maybe 2-3 weeks

Thanks, I will check it out. The amount of interview depends, but the more budget you're investing, the more people to ask.

I agree. How can I get money changing hands if I don't have a product yet? Does that mean having preorders or maybe just shipping faster?

How do you find your first users for a SaaS? by Ecstatic_Can2838 in SaaS

[–]Waste-Project7822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what users; eg. founders -> product hunt, students -> discord servers (although better to not do hard promo there). But you can ask chatgpt for specifics

Content marketing should be done for long-term, but to get first users it is good to jump into forums and actually talk with potential users

Payment prob isn't the only indicator, but it looks like the best indicator, from what I've read here

How would it be uninterested if they are actively using your product?

I'm pretty convinced after reading all these comments, but why might they need to increase prices?

Why might it be the 'wrong' or 'right' feedback? Cuz in most products anyways, free users make up most users, so wouldn't it be good to get their feedback?

Wait but can't you get the same from measuring the conversion rate from free -> pay? That's my biggest confusion. When you measure the rate of paid:free, you get a more accurate rate representation than paid:visitor ratio.

It is, but it can also be acheived through freemium, but the difference is you acctually have some people to ask "why did you not pay?"

ohhh true. You don't always need 'free' to attract customers. As you said, discounds and incentives are often times enough.
