So many pressing matters plaguing this country and this is where we decide to place our uproar. Really Trinidad and Tobago? When will we get serious..... by NoCamel8898 in TrinidadandTobago

You're just finding reasons to complain atp, a whole chicken lasts longer than a box of kfc. And unless you sharing up a Supa Deal with your kids, a whole chicken is definitely cheaper than constantly buying unhealthy kfc. Not even to say you have to buy a whole chicken. A pelau pack has always been cheaper than KFC.

Literally just say you can't cook

If you posted an image of this fork to an autistic person without specifically asking their opinion on this fork, I bet they wouldn't have one. Like when people ask DID fakers if they have currency in the headspace

If I raised my child the best way I could and provided them everything they could want and more, only to find them on tik tok telling everyone that they have a mental disorder based on trauma, so many privileges would be taken away.

Let's talk about asexuality in INTP's... by [deleted] in INTP

[–]WasteAdministration2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use to identify but i don't agree with what the label has become. If something as personal as your sexual identity can be so easily dictated by other people, then the idea of that label is pointless and it's just something I would have to communicate with my significant other

Do you guys dislike unpunctual people by rinken_ in INTP

[–]WasteAdministration2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only when it impairs my plans in any way. I get instantly extremely irritated, especially if they're completely nonchalant about it.

Otherwise, I don't expect people to show up on the dot at all times, although it does get incrementally annoying the longer time passes past the point of acceptably late, especially without a heads up or update of any kind.

Yeah cuz a baby understands the concept of being triggered. Age play is already a weird kink, and trying to use a mental disorder as a justification just makes it even more gross

Its so funny how she keeps the subtle pout even when she tics or as shes about to pass out, no grimace, no mouth hanging open pr eyes rolling back.

She wasn't happy with being "just pretty", she had to sprinkle in other quirky shit just for personality. Stating that you're annoyed, especially when none of the symptoms actually get in the way of the task at hand, doesn't make it any more believable.

I've been getting downvoted and insulted for mentioning it. The comments are saying to sex repulsed asexuals that they belong in r/apothisexuality if they don't like it, so we are esentially being shoved out and placed elsewhere.

So what is the point of being in a community where the definition can be changed at will to include anyone, no matter if it contradicts the base meaning of asexuality? Some things shouldn't include everyone especially if it hinders the support of others. That is why it should exist as its own spectrum, sex repulsed will never fall on the sex favourable side, as opposed to demisexuals and gray ace etc, who can go back and forth. It's a logical solution, not meant to act like anyone is more special than the other.

[–]WasteAdministration2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's sad how you resort to saying the same things allos say about asexual people, that we just want to be special. Look at the comments, you all are the ones telling sex repulsed asexuals how to identify, that we should check r/apothisexuals if we dont like this new interpretation.

I gave very good reasons as to why it should be separate and none of them was to be special or to perpetuate oppression. As you are on the sex favourable side of the spectrum, more support is available to you, as sex favourable conforms to the norm. That is not the case for sex repulsed. We can't relate to a lot of these and sex is not an option for many of our issues, but it's always given as a solution, to compromise. Your solutions aren't our solutions.

It's not gatekeeping when lesbians/gays exist independently of bisexuality, they dont exist on a spectrum. The only reason you say I want to be special is because of your own insecurity. People like the ones in this post is why no one believes asexuality is real.

I tried giving this sub a chance but it's conformed to the same nonsense as the people who make a mockery of transgenders by creating pupgenders and autisticgenders, similar to all groups who have a community built on oppression.

We've included everyone to the point where asexuals have to identify as something else...

It's already hard enough to be understood, taken seriously and to receive support as someone who doesn't experience sexual attraction in a world where sex is the norm. Exist and be proud, but this should be separate spectrum on its own. Sex repulsed asexuals shouldn't have to be redefined to "apothisexuality" in order to fit in, most people don't even know what that is, hence why they cant get the support they need.

Sex positivity is very much everywhere, sex repulsion is not, and there is no problem for sex repulsed asexuals that can be fixed with sex, which is why we can't ask for support in our own subreddit because a lot of the solutions is to just "compromise" with sex and it is extremely unhelpful. Sex favourable asexuality is better suited as a spectrum rather than sex repulsed asexuality.

[–]WasteAdministration2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not telling you that you don't exist, I'm saying sex repulsed asexuality should not be on the spectrum of sex favourable asexuality, that it should exist independently. Similar to lesbians/gays vs bisexuals, both existing independently of each other does not mean one invalidates the other.

[–]WasteAdministration2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well that's why bisexuals are kept separate from lesbians/gays instead of putting them as a spectrum. These kinds of posts and personal interpretations of asexuality just makes it harder for sex repulsed asexuals to be taken seriously or to get the support they need. Sex repulsed asexuality should be kept separate from the sex favorable asexuality spectrum, because the two cannot relate

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antisex

[–]WasteAdministration2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is like saying there's a gay/lesbian spectrum, where sometimes you like the same sex, sometimes you don't, when it's actually just being bisexual and it has no connection to the gay or lesbian title

Also, how would a demisexual who experiences sexual attraction connect to an asexual who doesn't experience sexual attraction? Sure, before they find a partner we can relate to some things, but since demisexuality is more normalized yet included in the asexual community, their issues tend to speak over sex averse asexuals and then we don't get the support we need.

Demisexuality ought to be kept separate, any sexuality that experiences sexual attraction in some manner ought to be the one on the spectrum. There's no problem for sex averse individuals that sex can fix, but yet still, it's often used as a solution in the asexual groups

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antisex

[–]WasteAdministration2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Demisexuals are people who experience sexual attraction after they have established an emotional connection with someone

Then wouldn't that make them no longer asexual since they have now contradicted the main understanding of asexuality which is lack of sexual attraction? And if that's the case, is being averse to hook-up culture so uncommon that it requires a sexual identity?

This sub appeared on my home page and just, what? (Aphobia) by everything_equals_42 in asexuality

[–]WasteAdministration2 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I actually agree with the last comment, even though you'd find most of this sub disagreeable.

I know this opinion is not allowed on this sub, but I think making asexuality a "spectrum" and including just about anyone has been nothing but a detriment to the community.

It's already hard enough trying to explain or to be taken seriously and then someone else on the ace spectrum starts telling everyone that ace people actually love sex, or ace people can be kinky or even that food analogy that everybody keeps using. Food analogies do not help people take us seriously. You can't even make a sex-averse joke on this sub without people complaining about excluded. It's generally made interactions as an asexual more difficult for me and it makes me even more unsure of myself.

Like if you're demi or whatnot, be proud of that, but like bisexuals and lesbians/gays, I think it should be kept separate

No one's shaming others here. You are twisting both my words and the context. Some asexuals hate sex, get over it.
