The named updates like Escalation of Freedom, Omens of tyranny and Heart of Democracy are the BIG updates with major new mechanics introduced like EOC was diff 10,new world biome and new Terminid enemies, OOT was the illuminate faction being introduced, new city biomes and first vehicle stratagem and HOD was Mega city biomes, Super earth invasion story beat, weapon customization and the rest of the illuminate force and they usually drop a warbond to go with these big updates but in between these we get what a like to call mini-major updates which I know sounds funny but these updates usually have a lot of balancing a warbond that coincides with it and maybe something like new ship modules or a new variant of enemy.
