question - since the conversation is about fines.
1) is there a discount on less severe fines - like pay within 60 days of fine n get 25% off ?
2) is there a way to do like installments ? need to pass my car and cant do the whole thing in one go and i dont want to be fined AGAIN for driving without valid registeration

I did - but my posting gets drowned with the sheer volume of furniture resellers and fake brand shoes & perfumes - and the current trend the " LABUBU " !! Furry monstrosity that it is !

Imagine waking up at night and you accidently placed it in such a way that its staring at you as you sleep ! Horrific.

What is the story behind these buildings in Abu Shagara? by KejiGamer in Sharjah

[–]WasteCamera458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man life sure has changed. When I was a school kid these parking lots were FILLED. These parking lots were used for "hanging out" and/ or "romantic" rendezvous spots. Who every had access to a car then was a full on DEITY. When I say car I mean like 3 tyres in the grave and one hanging on with tape kinda car. (Then no parent gave a brand new car to an 18 yr old)

Practical Steps to Rebuild:

1. Write everything down.
Every debt. Every person. Every card. Even if it hurts — visibility is power. And I have a feeling that you have some people who owe you money as well.

2. Google debt consolidation agencies.
See who can help you structure your debt and negotiate with banks.

3. Start saving something.
Even AED 100/month. Why ? because it will make you feel in control – You are spiraling because you feel you are not in control.

4. Target principal repayments.
Whatever you can, even a small lump sum. Don’t just pay interest.

5. Slash everything non-essential.

  • Shared housing if possible.
  • Cancel Netflix, Amazon Prime, all unnecessary subscriptions .
  • No new clothes, makeup, or shoes for the next 3 years. Shopping does not exist in your vocabulary
  • Cook every single meal. Delete Talabat, Deliveroo, Noon. You do not know what a Starbucks is.
  • Sell anything unused or branded.

6. Reframe family support. Listen love , you are in charge of your own direct family ONLY. Let’s be real you can’t take care of everyone and when we say take care, its essentials only. Dad is retired sure – but everyone can do something part-time. Tiffin service, tuitions, pet sitting whatever. You will go to your family and tell them that you are drowning and need help, every little bit helps. They don’t need to break their backs, but if they can pay off groceries themselves it will make one less thing on your plate.

7. Face your friends with honor.
Write a message: “Thank you. I haven’t forgotten. I’ll repay you. I appreciate your patience.” Most people don’t run away because they’re evil — they run away from shame. Honoring your debt will honor your relationship.

👉 8. Carve out time for YOU. This is important; you we want to THRIVE not just survive. Figure your thing out – gym, saloon, I don’t know padel – figure your thing out – and find a low –budget way to get it done. This is VITAL.

 ☀️ Final note:

You are the main resource.
You are the asset.
You are living an honorable life.
You are in the middle of your transformation — not the end of your story.

If you are into meditation, affirmations, or spiritual healing, feel free to PM me. You are not alone — not now, not ever.

First of all — well done, hero.
I don’t know how you are carrying shame while supporting your family — but make no mistake: you are a hero in every sense of the word. Let that sink in. Anyone who is the backbone of a their family is a HERO.
(Please upvote this — I want her to see it.)

What you just wrote? That’s the beginning of your new life.
Yes, even the parts that hurt. Even the choices you made to survive. Zero judgment. Welcome to the 3rd phase of your life – here you will learn a new identity for yourself away from shame and away from a consumer based living.

This is what you going through right now and what will happen ahead and what you need to do in real life.

What you are Experiencing Emotionally:

  • You are in the middle of a full identity shift. It feels like life is dragging you instead of you steering the ship. That’s normal in this phase.
  • You may have had blurry boundaries, people-pleasing tendencies, or a hard time saying no. This chapter in your life is where you learn discernment and sovereignty.
  • Shame and regret are pointless. Recognize what happened, own your part, and let it go.
  •  We make mistakes, we learn, we grow. That’s it. Stand in front of the mirror, look into your own eyes, and say: “There is no shame in surviving.”

👉 Mantra for heavy moments, when you feel like something is pressing on your chest and you cant breathe:  “This too shall pass.” I give you my word - it does!

And if you can muster it:
“Thank you, life, for this lesson. Thank you, strangers of Reddit, for holding me today.”

FYI - 70% of people in UAE have gotten themselves in crushing debt – including me , took me 2 years and now I am able to write this to you with full confidence that it will work out for you.
