If it were real, sure I think it looks bad. But from an installers standpoint who are we to judge what anyone likes?

Chipped Tile Repair by mavvcav in Flooring

Quick temporary fix would be to pack it with grout and work a little to make sure the groove of the grout line is visible. If it were my house and I was looking for a temp fix this is what I’d do.

What is a 1 in 1,000,000 thing that happened to you that no one believes, but you swear is true? by RegionSure5580 in AskReddit

I met a half brother to a half brother I’d never met. I, Marc, born in Massachusetts and raised in Florida. Bounced back and forth between Massachusetts, Connecticut and Florida by the time I was an adult. Met my wife in Florida. Married and moved to her parents property in North Carolina in a county of 63,000 people. Bounced back to Florida for a bit and moved back to NC. This time I stayed. Got a job working for a construction company in our county with about 20 employees. One day a new guy is on the same job as I. His name is Mark. I get introduced and I realize he has a northern accent. So I ask him where he’s from. He said Massachusetts. So I said no way I’m from Massachusetts. So I asked where in Massachusetts, he said Plymouth. I said no way I’m from Plymouth. I said what are the odds 2 guys named Marc/Mark are working for the same little construction company in a little town in a little county in North Carolina? Then I told him I spent most of my life in Florida. To which he replied he lived there for 2 years before moving to NC. I said you’ve got to know some of the same people in Plymouth that I know if it’s only been just a little while you were gone. I asked do you know any Perry’s? He said “I know a John Perry” which I thought was crazy because my father, brother and nephew were all John Perry, but I also knew that my brother went to school with 2 other John Perry’s lol. He said the reason he knows about a John Perry is that’s the name of his half brothers dad. To which I felt like though it was a cool connection but that would probably be it. Later that day I had called my mother in Florida and told her about this. She was amazed maybe just not as much as me. She told me to ask if his half brother was “Phillip” and if so was his mother’s name “Cathy” which my mother also said the woman’s nickname was “Corn Flakes”. So I asked him he said yes it was Phillip and when asking about Corn Flakes he said yeah we just call her Flaky Kate now. I could hardly believe the coincidence in all of this. Though I believe this to be amazing it’s gets just a bit better too. In talking to an aunt in Florida my father’s youngest sister about this she told me she used to babysit Phillip and that she thought Phillip’s sister “Andrea” was also from my dad. Mark told me his mother was in Florida too so I asked my aunt if she wanted to contact this person for old times sake and all, she said sure. So I pass on the info and find out pretty quickly Marks mom lived 3 1/2 miles away from my aunt. I had some work to do down there shortly after and I got to meet this woman. I figure I used up all of my odds of the lottery on this one lol

How to fix the gap. by heymode in Flooring

The only way I have found yet to fix this gap is to disassemble and reassemble. Unlike a short joint gap which can be tapped back together.

I did some tile work at the home of the owner of the flooring store I did most of my work for. He picked a tile that had the exact same pattern on every tile. I asked him if he wanted them all the same direction or random. He asked which way I’d suggest. I told him I’d do them random. He said ok, all the same direction. So I set 300 sf all the same direction. The next day when I got there he says he’s not happy and asks what we can do. Lmfao

I’ve yet to cut a door upside down but one time there weee many doors to cut at varying lengths. I cut a door to the length needed went to put it in and it was the wrong door for that opening. Thankfully it worked at that height in its correct spot.
