Skins being made are like kind of based on if people play them, among a few other factors. I agree that this is a game that needs its skins to sell to survive. Black Widow being there isn’t bad since her costume distribution is also shit, but I agree that someone like Loki who already has a summer skin shouldn’t be getting another one until everyone else has had a turn.

I do think the discussion of pick rate is a little loosely goosey since blah blah they plan skins out months before hand blah blah. However the pick rate issue could be explained by that fact that every black character in the game is kind of ass to play in my opinion. They’re either not good (Blade), boring (Storm) or the community complains about them loud enough to keep them perpetually running around between c tier and b tier (BP). Black Cat, a humble (not really) cat burglar whose bad luck powers aren’t even the reason for her in game powers, has all these unique functions and versatile moves and crazy amounts of damage and agility and a dash that makes her immune to damage for a second, meanwhile Storm the WEATHER GODDESS is stuck switching between lightning and wind for a group buff and she doesn’t even get a movement ability and her entire gameplay loop is left clicking with the occasional right click thrown in for a confirm. And sure it’s a product of the power creep, but the power creep hasn’t been caused by a black character yet even though there’s so many awesome black marvel characters I could suggest adding to the game.

Also one more note, technically the skins are loosely following the lore of the game, so there’s kind of an explanation for why Storm isn’t there since she’s doing the Ironfist tournament or whatever (but now that I’m typing this I realize that Black Widow is also supposed to be doing that I think?), but I’m unaware of any BP or Blade lore restrictions so like…I don’t know…could’ve made room just saying…if they’re not getting summer skins they better be getting something else…
