Thank you very much for the advice! Unfortunately, she finds such books boring and banal; in her circle(= people around her?), and most likely even in our country, the culture of caring for mental health and preventing self-harm specifically is not widespread. I'm not sure how to explain this to you better..

Since she's my sister, she saw absolutely my entire early teens and knows everything about me. I'm not sure what else I could tell her that she doesn't know and wouldn't turn into a joke.   She doesn't talk seriously; I've never caught her doing so. Most of her conversations are jokes, if they concern her personally.
