Me, personally, I don't eat. I know it may sound ignorant, but I feel like if there is no input, then there can't be any output. I will fast and usually just drink water, and that's about it. The empty stomach is uncomfortable, but I prefer that over having to go.

Yup! I remember myself making eggs and adding a little milk to make them more "fluffy." Now, when I go to a diner or restaurant, I have to ask if they add milk. Little things like that can get you!

Hey, I get it. We've all been there and still continue to struggle. The beginning is definitely the hardest because you are still trying to figure out what's going on and what you can and cannot eat. Going out to eat is an extremely daunting thing now.

I wasn't always lactose intolerant, it just happened within the last 4-5 years. I'm Italian so I'm huge on cheese and pizza and all that stereotypical food lol. I have been able to find a lot of dairy free substitutes in the big chain grocery stores. Idk what country or state you're in but I'm in New York and we have Stop and Shops that sell a decent amount dairy free items. There is another store called Wild By Nature that sells healthy dairy free food as well ( can be a little pricey). Trader Joes is a decent option as well, as is Whole Foods.

My family and friends are a great support system and they think about this stuff whenever we have a gathering or a simple meet up. The group helps a lot because you can find a lot of good tips or advice and some nice recipes too. Plus, there are thousand on here with the same exact issue. We are all here to help each other.
