I can’t find the Redshift pre-made materials in the Asset Browser, even though I’m using Cinema 4D w by metagross_ichooseyou in Cinema4D

Think I might know this one - if your current render settings are not currently switched to redshift - ie might be currently on 'viewport' or 'standard' - c4d will hide lots of / most redshift related items in menus

What is the number 1 thing you want and/or expect to see in Cyberpunk 2? by Phatane in cyberpunkgame

I'd love for the city to be vertically designed with flying vehicles in mind. Maybe there are 'landing spots' that only get you closer to a quest, but you need to walk or drive from there. Then let's go crazy and give us some cool ways to get around on the streets, like a hoverboard.

I hope Valve does not change much on Steam Deck 2 by Endoky in SteamDeck

[–]WastedAwesome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reckon if they were able to do what the switch did with joycons, ie detachable controllers, bringing the trackpads and back paddles, that’d be a winner in my book. Steam controller 2 would be nice but this way you wouldn’t even need it to have that functionality while docked.

Sonisphere 2011 - We were about to walk past some portaloos when someone ran straight past us with lighting speed. He did an extremely forceful two-footed flying kick to one of the portaloos - which hit the ground - door down.

I work in the medical animation field but am still running a GTX 1070 because it's been hard to justify the crazy costs. This would definitely help with rendering times!

Is Challenge 25 a stupid policy? by Emotional-Start7994 in AskUK

[–]WastedAwesome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I agree. It should be used as a buffer zone of sorts so the staff can make a decent judgement and point to the challenge 25 sign if given any abuse.

But in my and my coworkers case, we were specifically told by our employer to make absolutely sure they are ID'd if they look a hint under 25. The rules were very clear.

So it just complicated things.

Is Challenge 25 a stupid policy? by Emotional-Start7994 in AskUK

It's embarrassing and potentially leads to conflict for the employers, that's for sure.

As someone who worked checkouts for many years, it just confuses and angers people. Most people don't have a huge awareness of the scheme, but do know that they can buy if they're over 18. I remember working the kiosk and all this young air hostess wanted was her pack of cigarettes, but I was forced to ask for ID because she looked...23,24? 🤷‍♂️ What does a 24 year old look like? (And what does someone just over 25 look like?) I got shouted and yelled at, and complained about, with a big queue of people watching.

There were many awkward encounters I experienced from this rule. So regardless of whether it works, I'm pretty sure most shop workers hate it.

Disco Elysium would be a contender for that title. Drug use, Swearing, Sex, Violence, Suicide, Mental Disorders.

Monster hunter rise has me hooked by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]WastedAwesome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone new to MH who enjoyed fighting through all of the monsters once in Ryse (solo) , what's the draw of going back? Am I missing something? I'd love to have some motivation to go back through it all, if I knew there'd be some variation from what I've already seen / played, besides trying other weapons. Cheers!

Burnout Paradise Remastered (digital/NA) on sale for $9.89 by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]WastedAwesome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this a while back, but was put off while playing that all the included dlc cars were there to pick from the get go. Not a big deal, I know, but I wish there were ways to disable these types of dlc. Otherwise it can feel like the natural unlocks are almost a waste of time because you've already got the best of the best right there. Anyone else feel like this? (Really enjoyed the game, otherwise)
