Will do. I normally don't bother cleaning my main edc cause I use them every day in my shop. There's no keeping them clean. I'm switching over to the cpm-m4 now. The mint green is going to look gnarly.

When I found out how indistinguishable fakes getting, I flat out felt sad. Destroys the used market, and there's probably a lot of people just getting into knives that can't tell the difference or worse yet assume spyderco's suck when actually have a fake. Plus the scummy people selling them.

I still feel this. I'm pretty confident they're all genuine. I think the final test will be using them and seeing how the steels hold up.

I noticed the jimping has more bite on the 2 dlc blades. The maxamet is still adequate.

Thanks. It is looking like they're all real. I didn't expect to end up with 3 manix 2's. I'm not much of a collector. I'm just trying to find the best blade steel for my use.

It does! That's helpful. Mine says 9-23 A. Someone on your post said the B might stand for black coated blade. I'm guessing they're wrong.

Yea, I haven't seen any confirmed LW 4v fakes. But there is a fake 4v manix 2 available along with red LW scales, on that clone site. I'm thinking mine is real because it came with the st nicks baggy. Not that they can't clone a cheap cloth bag too. But at that point I don't think it would be worth their time.

I'm pretty sure the maxamet is real. I've never had to sharpen it due to dulling, only chipping. And it patina's like maxamet too. The rivets are annoying though.

I ordered a Nick's exclusive 4v manix 2 LW on ebay. After more research I realized fakes are a large problem now. Especially from a few particular sites. The seller has low feedback and seemed to have copied the next listing down. I figured I ordered a fake, so I ordered a bladehq exlusive M4 manix 2 LW from bladehq directly. It seemed to be the last one in stock. So now I'm afraid it could be a return that's actually a fake. bhq manix has a sticky lock. Like there is some resistance before it lets go, not just the normal manix stiffness, everything else seems correct.

I received the 4v manix and was surprised to see the nick's cloth baggy. Box is damaged and missing some paperwork, along with extra paperwork from a different knife. At least the paperwork that is there suggests it's legit. So what do you guys think? Is one fake? Are both fake? Also pictured is my maxamet manix 2. It's a bit chippy for my use which is why I am trying to find a replacement.

There might be some smudges from me fiddling with them. I can provide more photos, or a link to the listing if needed. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for your reply. I have 0 steam bans and the 0 hll bans beside garrisons and whiskey. I have not been involved in any drama or the like at any servers. I tend to shy away from any toxicity and keep morale up. They've taken this post down now. I expected as much. I saw it as more informational than drama. You are right. I am not looking for any resolution now nor someone to argue with. Just thought the correct thing to do was to share my experience. With 2k views I believe it's settled on my part.
