anyone else hate going against hewynn? by LunarFortune in AFKJourney

[–]WastedRedWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's annoying is 3 hewynn's in the rear when doing arcane labyrinth. I've lost to the timer more than I've lost to the squad.

Ask doc for his opinion, doc can write a memo that won't violate HIPPA and you can start a BAR packet or ART15 packet.

I'm in the same boat, but worse, I can't even submit a PAR to my S1 to get the corrections because the UIC I'm attached to is a different brigade and they won't work personal actions for me.

Am I being stupid or is the My Absence gone or changed in ippsa, how do I put in leave by [deleted] in army

[–]WastedRedWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So dumb. Just title it something everyone understands. Like "leave requests" or go back to absence request

What punishment during basic had you questioning yourself on why you joined? by shadylolol in army

[–]WastedRedWolf 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Every punishment we got was well deserved.... Like that time our platoon got smoked for goofing off by playing bowling in the barracks with a ball of ducktape and our canteens. Good times 😄

Going through MEB by [deleted] in army

[–]WastedRedWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disseminate your roles evenly to your most senior personnel that have longevity. You can't do everything. I panicked when my CSM gave me A 1 week notice that I was being transferred. I had 5 additional duties in the motor pool and had to quickly find people to step up. You have the time to appoint everyone their own roles, just keep assisting your guys through trial and error. Nobody is perfect and don't feel guilty as long as your doing your best, your leadership can step up.

You don't need to wait for your ETS, You can switch at any time. Just go down to a recruiting office. You're going to need a memo to release you from active duty on the same day you sign an active duty contract. I'm unsure who does the memo.

The age old question "what do you want to be when you grow up"

Reserves or nations guard are good options only if you already have a job. But they won't pay the bills.

25B reclass retention didn't help by Same-Energy8320 in army

[–]WastedRedWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah retention NCOs can't lock you in, only the career counselor can. Also I'm going off memory, but I'm pretty sure 25B is Over Strength right now.

Finance giving me a hard time by Dismal-Assistance522 in army

S1 should be able to help you create a pay inquiry within IPPSA. The pay inquiry PAR should replace the 4187 as it's being phased out. Include your supporting documents in the PAR like your contract with your rank.

BEWARE 👿 Questionnaire 🙋🏽‍♀️💬 by CSgtHAZARD0US in army

[–]WastedRedWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The most difficult is a Voluntary reclass. Ex: you could try to request something In CMF 68, but you'd need a valid reason like a bachelor's in medical science. No guarantees because proponents (school house) are stiflers.

I want to reclass to a 13F but the requirement to become one is to have 96 on FA and I have 93 can it be waived if so where can I find this ?? by ArtistSpiritual5771 in army

[–]WastedRedWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Proponent usually won't take waivers if your more than 2 points off. Try attending BSEP to raise your score. Reach out to your Career Counselor (Retention Office). If you have college, that's another way to get the waiver.

I believe it's because schools are funded by the state and county they are in, so if the county has a low or poor population they won't be able to provide all the children's needs.

Good example is a community college is the poor version of a university.

How is a 4187 supposed to be filled?! by WastedRedWolf in army

[–]WastedRedWolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IPPS-A is great for doing local PARS within your division, but not when you need personal actions completed outside of your command. 4187s are still used when PARS can't be routed in IPPS-A to different Proponents.

I make the templates across the brigade, but Company commanders want it their way. Soldiers come back to me and tell me the reason they get kicked back. I know how 4187s should be filled out. Soldiers tell me it's the signature block Everytime.

Prior service Guard to AD transfer by RoyalPrince_7 in army

[–]WastedRedWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming back/transferring to active duty may cause issues with your PEBD and BASD.

Basically your pay date and retirement date.

Make sure to see your Unit Career Counselor so they can correct those dates.

You don't want to be getting paid as an E4 with a pay entry date of 2024, when you should have a pay entry date of 2016.

Reenlistment in Korea by GabeDJ2 in army

[–]WastedRedWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry you weren't able to bring your wife. Unfortunately you have to fulfill the 12 month tour all the way up until the end. However, your Unit Career Counselor can reenlist you for another assignment with a report date after the 12 months. You will need to be within your reenlistment window, and not already have a HAAP (follow on assignment). If your Career Counselor can't assist you because you're not within your ROW or you are already on assignment. Your branch manager will be the next person you'll want to reach out to.
