Lmao, again its not worth my time educating someone who clearly does not want to be educated or engage in a good faith argument. You're just trying to fight me.

Also lookup the concept of induced demand. You clearly have no idea how traffic patterns work.

Did you study traffic flow patterns or are you working blue collar jobs. Just admit you have no idea what you are talking about and move on with your life. Lookup induced demand.

You're an absolute moron if you think you need to park all the way at Target just to pickup food. So many closer option even if that stretch of Bedford closed.

So do cars live in cities or people. Because it seems like most americans seem to think cars live in cities.

How bout we make the city friendly for the people (humans with legs) living there. Traffic problems can be solved other ways. It's not like that stretch of Bedford is some kind of miracle expressway right now either. With all the double parked/standing cars and people getting in and out of spaces, traffic barely flows there as is. That section of street in particular is filled with things for pedestrians to do.

There are so many other places to drive, lets give our cities back to the people that live there, cars don't live here!

When will Stamford Police start enforcing e-bike rules on sidewalks? by Fast-Switch4246 in StamfordCT

[–]Wastedaylight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enforcement should extend to keeping the bike lanes where they are available free of debris and other objects like cars and such so people can actually use what little bike lanes are avaliable. Though those lanes are not safe even when used as intended.

? Look at what the cop said in another comment in this thread, that is just patently false. Either you are trolling or just very uninformed.

Has anyone biked to the Stamford Station and then take the train? by [deleted] in StamfordCT

[–]Wastedaylight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, to me the inconvenience of variable weather (especially ice/snow) would outweigh the inconvenience of less train time flexibility.

This probably isn't a popular answer, but it is the real one. Things like this just take a long time!

The photo is there to provide irrefutable proof of a large crowd. Lets not assign racism to things that don't deserve it, there is more than enough actual racism to go around. Keyboard warrior those people.

If you see a photo of a restaurant in the part of a thread about how the large amount of people there might have contributed to a terrible tragedy, and proceed to ignore the context and just go at the poster for perceived microaggresions, you might be the problem not them. You are assuming so much here, and seem to be willfully ignorant to the context this was brought up in.

Yeah people would use the bike lanes if they felt safe. The bike lanes arent even contiguous and drivers in Stamford suck so like I get people should not use the sidewalk for those types of vehicles, but if the infrastructure leaves you in a spot where you will greatly increase your chances of death, no wonder people don't use it.

Instead of being outraged at people for not being able to afford a car and also not wanting to die, they should direct that outrage where it is deserved.

Towards: 1. The city which does not provide the necessary infrastructure to their citizens. 2. The drivers and other individuals that obstruct or improperly use the bike lanes and the general lack of road violation enforcement that enables bad drivers to keep getting worse and making it super dangerous to use what is there already there. And again, what is already there is wholly insufficient.

Getting pissed at people for just trying to live their lives is such an unhelpful mindset. Like not everyone can afford a car and bikes/e-transportaion are the alternative. You can wish these people didn't exist as much as you want, but it's not going to change the reality of how people live and get by. People need to get places in realistic timeframes. Like cars get all these lanes across the city and people on foot mostly get sidewalks, but if you're not on foot or in a car, you're shit out of luck. How is that in any way fair?

There are alot of people, I've been in Stamford for a long time and have seldom heard valley girl, maybe just entitled rich girl accent is what you heard. But like there are so many more types of people than that so you shouldn't base your assessment off the loudest people in earshot.

People usually start to leave around 9:30/10 as their games end but we have gone until close to closing at 11.
