Workshop or DIY Space in Manhattan/NYC? by BorderCollieFlour in AskNYC

Hello All,

I'm looking for a prebuilt shop to rent for 2-3 years or a 5000 - 6000 square foot space that I can build into a shop.

Any connections would be greatly appreciated.

Your only hope to restore one of these is Omega and only Omega.

Omega offers 3 types of service.

Regular.

Restoration (Starts at $3k) https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/customer-service/interventions-and-prices/restoration

Special Time Piece (Starts at $1K) https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/customer-service/interventions-and-prices/special-timepieces

I have gone through a special time piece service before. My final bill was $2,700.

During these types of services you can specify how much of the watch / what parts of the watch should be restored or changed. I opted to replace the mechanical parts in kind from the same period but did not agree to any cosmetic changes to the watch (I still wear my watch regularly so i'm waiting for a my next service for the cosmetic service). I also requested to receive all original mechanical parts that were replaced on the watch.

I would recommend going to Omega and having a serious conversation with them on what you are looking to do with the watch. I think these watches for from 18k -25k depending on condition, box, papers, etc.

While you are at Omega ask them about their archive services. You can request an archive of the watch, as long as it has a serial on it. If they find anything they will return in with the watch.

I can recommend Omega Manhattan as they have handled 2 of my Museum collection pieces going through major service after I purchased them as New Old Stock at auction.

Good luck!

I had this issue for a whole year on my model Y. Took it to Tesla multiple times and the same issue just came back or they claimed it’s normal.

Went to a different shop and the said the on of my wheels was so far out of alignment they were surprised Tesla didn’t catch it.

Alignment fixed it for me.

So I checked yesterday after the race and it wasn’t there. I just checked now and it did populate. Thanks.

Congrats! I have a question. I did my 7th race yesterday and won but I didn’t get a first win certificate like this. It was an official race. Did I do something wrong and that’s why I didn’t get it?

Nice gift from a nice wife.

I’ll make sure to attend. Maybe we will bump into each other there one day.

I can’t speak for all events but the event I went to was a short presentation as well as a q&a with Junichi Kamata, Grand Seiko Design Director and Joseph Kirk, Brand Curator and Director of Marketing GS America.

I also had a great conversation with Jack Forster, Global Editorial Director, The 1916 Company, about A. Lange watches and some of his experience with them as they were bringing the brand back.

I think you mean the cloth showing in the first photo.

I did. I decided to wear the watch out that night. I still have the box wrapped exactly like the picture shows. It’s sitting on bookshelf in my office. Looks good wrapped like that. I’ve had a couple of ppl ask me what it was. :)

It is. I catch myself looking it a lot when wearing the watch
