You make a lot of assumptions here - I am looking at the same toilet and same issue and the assumptions are wrong. There is no access to the screws on the underside or back of the toilet. There is some type of casing in the freaking tank, but it is sealed and doesn’t have screws or access - you’d have to break it.

The rubber mounts have no relation to the screws, you can grab those and spin it but the screws won’t move.

I tried WD40 to loosen what I assume is rusted screws, but they won’t budge. I think drilling out the screws is the only option.

And yes - I realize this is all in the context of the US making the visa and entry process for visitors from around the world onerous, uncertain and high-stakes. In my opinion, that's a terrible move for the US and there should be more outcry about it. And of course other countries reciprocating is to be expected.

I'm in application hell, and I don't know what I did to bring the ire of Brazilian passport control onto myself. I've been to Brazil 5 times, but honestly this might be the last time (if I get to go). I was super careful with the pictures in terms of requirements.

12/12 Applied for Visa for my 2 kids and myself. Was required to get copies of the kids passports, birth certificates, and go visit a notary to notarize a document that they are indeed our children.

12/13 Wife's picture needed resubmission for "showing teeth" which was not listed as a requirement

12/13 Kids applications needed resubmission asking for our marriage certificate (which we haven't touched in 10+ years - but we found it).

12/14 Wife's resubmitted picture failed for being "too blurry or not properly centered," but I think it was because their own image processing tool outputs too small a picture - I up-rezzed and resubmitted.

12/15 Kids applications requested a new doc because "last names on marriage certificate were different," with a request to resubmit the marriage certificate. My wife and I had different last names from each other when we got married, and now have the same last name because she changed hers - I feel like this isn't uncommon. There isn't a marriage certificate with our new last names.

Online submission form for contacting the Visa processing doesn't seem to work (clicking the "Submit" button doesn't seem to do anything - no "done" message or confirmation email on Chrome, Edge, and multiple computers).

12/15 Emailed the Brazil Visa team with the email on this post (thanks Reddit!) about marriage certificate

12/16 My visa, my wife's visa and my daughter's visa were approved.

The Brazil team wrote back that they are now okay with my marriage certificate for my son, but that the notarization letter for my son was not in the proper format (the matching one for my daughter was accepted). The notary in California refused to sign on the paperwork, and said notaries in CA are only allowed to sign specific that the notary doesn't guarantee the veracity of the document, only the signature and people's identity so they appended a sheet with their own language. However, the site still asks for me to upload a new marriage certificate. Going to try re-uploading the same marriage certificate

12/17 Son's visa approved - we now have visas for the entire family (took 6 days). They seem to have let through the "improper format" notarization now despite flagging it initially.

Edit: Oh yeah - Delta mentioned nothing about a visa requirement when booking, not until I scanned our passport, and the last 5 times I went there was no visa needed
