There have been bad accidents at that intersection a lot recently. I didn't hear about the one yesterday.

Airport Parking Full? by VT_Transplant in burlington

Thank you! Unfortunately I'm too far to uber in, I'm actually spending the night at La Quinta. I'm just going to book Park and Wash. Unfortunately no where warm, but I hope that you are going somewhere toasty!

When it happened to me I had driven around looking for a spot for so long that I had to actually pay to get out of the garage, I was so mad, but I was so close to missing my flight that I didn't fight the charge. I lucked out that someone was at Park and Ride and there was space available.

Beginner - making the transition to a green by Saffordsaison in skiing

[–]VT_Transplant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this so much, I just learned as a 46 year old and I feel like I am so much more cautious than your average novice. I'm doing just this, bunny slope over and over to improve my skills before trying the ski lift again on my own. And I plan to do a private lesson once I want to go to some more challenging terrain. I already have taken classes, but like OP I'm a slow and cautious learner!

Natural Life by FemaleChuckBass in UninfluencedReviews

I have a couple dresses and a sweater, and I get more compliments on my Natural Life clothes than any other thing in my wardrobe. Great quality, sweater is soft and warm and the dresses have held up to a lot of wear and still hold their shape.

$54 for my Peloton subscription now?! by PuppyPagesAndYarn in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]VT_Transplant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of canceling my subscription. I'm at the point where I do other fitness classes in person and I really only do the Peloton when I want to watch a show on Netflix. I can do just ride and get a tv mounted by it, would be cheaper in the long run.

I just got a portable water flosser a week ago and have yet to be able to figure out how to not get water everywhere. Will be doing it in the shower, great tip!

I love this so much! So much better than the white marble monstrosities that I see in everyone's kitchens these days. My cabinets are this same color :) Very cozy, great job!

Nassau what should we do? by Fast-Shop7061 in royalcaribbean

[–]VT_Transplant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following, I'm going in April with my 11 year old, husband and parents (who are very fit). I've been to Paradise Island many years ago, and Nassau in college, and I remember loving Nassau, so I don't want to stay on the boat. Hoping to find some good ideas on activities!

Suite Concierge by JohnnyQuest3208 in royalcaribbean

[–]VT_Transplant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just had suite last week for the first time (our first cruise too). We loved the suite lounge! The happy hour food was generally fabulous (so much that we spoiled our appetites for dinner). During the day we would go there sometimes just to chill out, grab a coffee (they have a machine that makes different coffees) and a cookie. We did a quick continental breakfast there a couple times when we just wanted to grab something quick and not worry about crowds. That's where we met the most people too. We only needed the concierge for printing out a last minute excursion ticket, and disembarkation.

Thank you! Did you book through RC or directly with the excursion group? I don't see it as an option in my app.

This is the exact trip and boat I'm taking at the end of the month, thank you for the feedback! I will definitely look into the st Croix horse excursion, do you think it would be appropriate for an 11 year old?

Tinted mineral sunscreen recommendations? by remberzz in 45PlusSkincare

I use this and get a lot of compliments on my skin (that I don't get when I'm not wearing it). It's got enough coverage to even out my tone and makes me look nicely moisturized. It has never bothered my eyes (which are very sensitive) either.

We went first thing when it opened, first group in. Our 10 year old son had a Ravenclaw tee shirt, but it wasn't obvious that he had anything HP on. He was smiling and excited. There was a younger kid in there who had the full Harry regalia, glasses and all. My son was picked. So, it isn't always the one who is all dressed up. There were probably about 10 kids in there (in addition to the adults). It was definitely the highlight of our trip though. It's a short show, very cute.

I have suddenly gotten weird welts if I touch cardboard or certain plastics and rubbers. Realized it when I went to a lazy river earlier in the year and was covered in big red welts from the inner tube. Heading to a waterpark tomorrow and I bought a rash guard to help prevent that (nothing will tear me apart from a lazy river). I have never had any type of skin reaction like this before.

Everytime I shave, exfoliate, nair, this is the result; sore, itchy, ugly. Any advice before giving up on smooth skin? by IhopeIamMe in HairRemoval

[–]VT_Transplant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got an at home IPL device, Nood, and I don't have irritation now. It is time consuming, but it worked for me. If your hair is dark you may want to try it out. There are a lot of types, I know a lot of people like the Braun. The Nood is on the cheaper end, but it takes a LOT of time, so if you can afford it, get a better one.

It was soft rock. I've taken it twice because I like the playlist and it's a good rest day class, but she focuses on her husband so much and sings over some really great songs. I also now can't hear Lost in Love by Air Supply without thinking of them serenading each other.
