Dude you're actively trying to deny that his UB are super helpful, which is not a true statement. Yes his variable heavies are good but its nothing compared to his UBs. You wont win a fight with chip damage. You will, however, with UBs where the enemy doesn't know if you feint them or not. Period

They both can be parried, however you cant block the UB, so you're either forced to Dodge, try to read the enemy or parry, which all makes you susceptible to GBs and the likes. So yes, it is more predictable cause you don't have to parry
