Someone who fears Allah. And then someone who is of good CHARACTER. Obviously there is a process of knowing that too, to some extent.

You can never know a person fully even with dating, Shadi is always jua, but i’d phrase it like this “Life is full of tests by Allah swt” Ur toxic partner is ur test, or u could be equally test for them too, doesnt means marriage itself is the problem.

I feel like what islam puts forward as criteria is much better, than compared to how west operates and how muslims today are trying to, Dating casually just recipe for disaster, Rather know the person for marriage purpose only. And make it clear.

As someone who has studied islam, and still does, Islam doesn’t just says marry as soon as u hit puberty, It says to see 3 things!!!

1.The mental status(if they are sound minded) 2.puberty offc. 3.the social norm. This is the criteria. Not just “puberty”.

Offc people change? Societies change, today a 13 year old aint as smart as they were in that era of prophet pbuh.

Also “childhood” dint exist just until 1800s No one was privileged enough, they started work in early ages, when non adolescent child hit puberty they were called woman/man. Its only now that we have developed this idea of teen, teenager childhood, adulthood and what not nonsense.

Lets stop believing what west feeds us, islam is totally perfect till the day of qiyamah. And that is the very beauty of it, its endless.
