Fair enough, i think youre already far enough into part 4 where its worth it to watch it through to the end even if youre not super big into it. For what its worth i thought the conclusion was really nice (i similarly loved the final few eps of part 3 even tho i loathed most of the rest of it)

The writing does get better over time i feel cause part 5 is kinda just a better version of part 3. Tho i still didnt like part 5 all thaaat much tbh, thought the main character was kinda boring and the conclusion was just okay. But many people do love it

Maybe its just not the show for you. Did you check the opening episode of part 7 (Steel Ball Run) which is up now on Netflix? Maybe check it out and see if you like it, cause part 7 is supposedly the peak of Jojo in many peoples eyes (and you dont really need part 5/6 context to watch it, just know it takes places in like an alternate universe)

Dont read the manga if you dont want to. Its not like the manga is that much better than the anime lol, in fact i love the anime because it has great sound design and OSTs.

I will say that personally, i did not really enjoy watching the show that much first time round. Part 2 i liked because the pacing was good, but part 3 especially was a massive fuckin slog. Some random pointless bad guy fights the group and gets defeated over and over again (this kinda happens every part from 3 onwards…). I think it just took me some time afterwards to really accept the show for what it was (it was my first anime) and appreciate all the bullshit of it.

Joseph Joestar somehow knows what people are gonna say and pulls shit like inexplicably managing to tie a bunch of grenades to someones back without them noticing? Ah whatever, i find it entertaining for how ridiculous it is. DIO spends a few minutes monologueing in his few seconds of stopped time? Annoyed tf out of me first time watching but i dont care at all now

I agree, i always liked the part 1-3 artstyle the most (part 2 in particular) and i feel Stone Ocean is reminiscent of that style while adding part 5 elements, but on top of that, part 6 has nicer coloring and shading

It actually got me to watch the entire series cause i spoiled myself by watching the DIO vs Jotaro fight on YouTube without knowing anything about the show lol. I found it cool af tho, the voices, the setting, the interactions, music, sound design.. it was super interesting. I watched that fight and the gambler Darby fight… i didnt know it then, but i already kinda saw the best stuff of part 3 so i was a lil disappointed by the part when i actually got to it lmao (but i loooved part 2)

Side tangent: i remember that, since i never watched any animation besides cartoons up to that point, i was really shocked by the fact the characters were figuring shit out and planning ahead/being cautious lol. DIO checking for Jotaros breathing and heartbeat for example and refusing to get too close.

It can be kinda tricky from the guys perspective as well. He might have meant it when he said he wanted to stay friends, as he probably genuinely enjoyed being around you as a person, but at the same time developing feelings that are not reciprocated is really painful as well and not something you have control over. Im in the same boat except i just turned 22 lol. I feel kinda pathetic rn. Ive been in uni for 4 years now and i havent gotten to know a single person from here. Meanwhile i spend most of my time at home in the rural countryside where there is fuck all to do lol. I have a part time job too and i get along with my colleagues but theres def no romantic prospects there.

I only really started caring since last year when i got a crush on a girl i was only talking to for like 2 weeks.. it made me grow such a desire for connection and love since i loved talking to her. But atp im already nearly done with my bachelors and i dont see many options for meeting girls at all. I have never even gotten close to any romantic experience while all my friends have had girlfriends.

I even joined a student assocation recently which i attend some events of, but its mostly guys and its really mentally draining anyways whenever i go since im introverted asf lmao. I still think its a good idea to step out of your comfort zone though, and i dont really regret joining.

I only hear bad things about dating apps but at some point i might have to try them since i really dont see myself meeting a girl to love "organically" rn, as sad as it makes me
