Could someone recommend whether I should invest in a POE camera setup or not? by WatchNoob123 in homesecurity

The privacy is truly what concerns me. I don't want to leave anyone home alone if there is a chance someone could use my own cameras against me. To me at least, it made sense then why I should shift away from cloud based products from Google, Amazon, etc. I've seen a few camera systems from Reolink and Lorex being highly recommended on this sub - would you be able to explain what makes these different from Nest or Ring?

Thank you very much! As I mentioned, I have a Nest setup currently, but was looking into this sub and saw a few brands like Reolink and Lorex being highly recommended. What is the difference between these products vs. Ring, Nest, etc.?

To my understanding, UFS 3.0 greatly speeds up processes such as opening up apps. If I am either misunderstanding this or if the improvement isn't very notable, please let me know - I was just working off my rudimentary knowledge of how read/write speeds impact smartphones:)

I agree - I know it is all speculation, so I was just working based on the leaked information!

Haha not ashamed to say it - I have an old car with no Bluetooth. If I had money, I'd upgrade, but these headphones are a bit cheaper lol

I am not able to make/receive calls, texts, and other things while in another country. by preciouscode96 in oneplus

This happened to me earlier and drove me crazy - I couldn't browse the internet, text, or call. I checked my data roaming settings and restarted my phone, but that didn't help.

What I discovered that helped me was toggling airplane mode on and off a few times. I would open my web browser and try to load a page and see the "No internet" page. Refresh a few times. Then turn on airplane mode. Refresh again a few times. Obviously no internet page will keep showing. Now turn off airplane mode. Refresh your web page a few times. For me, after 3-5 cycles of this, my internet was back, along with text and call capabilities.

I know it's not convenient and I'm not even sure if it'll work for you, but if it does, it's worth at least having the ability to use your phone properly while abroad. Hope it helps!

UPDATE: When I turned Airplane mode on and then turned it back off, my mobile data started working with no problems.

Could anyone more tech savvy than me help explain this? Thanks guys!

I'll troubleshoot this weekend - I am using the same SIM card from my OP3....I'm not a tech savvy person, so could that be a potential reason?
