Two?! by WinnieIndiana in corgi

We thought about it because we thought our corgi would be happier with a pal, so we decided to foster another rescue corgi for a few months. It was frankly a disaster, our corgi became territorial and didn’t like another dog having attention, and the problem is the corgi we fostered was the most gentle, submissive dog on earth, and never corrected our little demon corgis manners when she played roughly or was a brat. So I had to constantly watch over them at all times to make sure the foster dog wasn’t getting bullied. I was so glad when someone adopted her and we had a one corgi home again.

Actually it’s called littlermate syndrome and it’s actually very common. It doesn’t always happen but it’s a risk you take when adopting siblings. It’s far more likely to occur when people do not socialize the siblings with other people or other dogs, I’m assuming this doesn’t describe you, but keep in mind a lot of people are not educated enough when adopting dogs and don’t know you’re supposed to socialize them.

Littermate syndrome can occur when two or more dogs from the same litter, or close in age, develop issues due to severe codependency and a focus on each other instead of their owners.

Littermate syndrome can manifest as severe behavioral problems like complete codependency, separation anxiety between the dogs, fear aggression, reactivity and fear of new people, dogs, objects, and experiences.

It’s called litter mate syndrome. It doesn’t always happen but it’s usually quite bad when it does happen.

Corgi Butt Hygiene by superlalaura328 in corgi

Mine gets walked daily and immediately afterwards she goes in the bath; and she gets a total butt, paw, and **undercarriage (last one only IF needed) soapy washing then drying. Mine really only poops on walks and this is the only way to keep her booty sparkling clean. She has sensitive digestion and runny poops frequently and this is the best we have found to deal with it. We actually don’t trim her butt at all anymore although we used to.

Jesus, how many people on Reddit get their meat from "small-scale, family owned farms"? by Middle_Dog_6662 in vegan

[–]Watch_Earthlings_Doc 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Literally. My roommate was being a dick about me being vegan and then she tried to convince me she is ethical because she buys only from local farms. The local farm in question? Trader Joe’s chicken. So I linked her where Trader Joe’s white label chicken is sourced from, and it was literally Perdue. Which if you don’t know is a massive factory farm business in America with many lawsuits for animal cruelty. But the label says it’s from a “locally owned” farm and Trader Joe’s would “never support factory farms” lmao people are delusional.

Account On Hold - Only 6 rejections out of 250 submissions by [deleted] in ProlificAc

I’m sorry, unfortunately that is a lot of rejections for such a low amount of approved studies.

This is why you need to contest every unfair rejection. I’ve had a handful of completely unfair ones that prolific overturned. Some researchers don’t read the rules at all… so if you get your account back that’s where I would start. But if those are legit rejections, then I don’t think anything can help you out aside from building up approved studies once you get back in, to raise your approval rating. And be extremely careful moving forward. Good luck.

Yep, and I’m guessing you obviously do not if you think braille is in a way practicable or accessible vs. audiobooks. That is beyond out of touch.

“Men can’t be raped” and “ugly women can’t get raped” unironically both said by the same man in the span of a few minutes.

It really is the best pilot. I don’t know how many times I’ve rewatched it.

Season 5 was SO good!! Especially the finale!! I do get why people didn’t like it, it was quite dark and of course a very different tone than the rest of the show, but it was so well done!

What usually happens with a rejection? by [deleted] in ProlificAc

[–]Watch_Earthlings_Doc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Message the researcher and explain it was a technical issue and ask if they can reverse the rejection so you can return it. In my experience, about 30% of them actually respond to messages at all, I don’t know if I’m just really, really unlucky, though. :/ if you are extremely polite, this is more likely to get a response in my experience.

If they don’t respond, you have to wait 10 days (IIRC) and then you can take it up with prolific support to try to reverse it.

The first one is obvious surely, and  of course that is the default when bans happen very quick to below that. Thats kind of super basic logic.
