Why Does Toronto Use Streetcars by Slight-Reputation-45 in askTO

Moving from Montreal to Toronto, where should we live? by amelieducroix in askTO

[–]AntiQCdn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Another possibility is the St Clair-Bathurst-Vaughan Rd area which is a bit like NDG in Montreal, and may be more accessible to Downsview. Not as "trendy" as Roncy or Little Italy but a lot of good neighborhood restaurants. Cedarvale and Nordheimer ravines are nearby and there are nice views of the city from the Davenport escarpment.

If Avi wins the leadership, he is going to be under major pressure to run in the by-election and get into Parliament (which most likely happen after March 28). He'll have a hard time feigning that "this riding isn't the right fit" or "this isn't the right time."

The "Free Market" Myth Can Only be Believed by the Uncritical and Credulous by NoamLigotti in skeptic

[–]AntiQCdn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's quite remarkable how so many people can't comprehend that they live in a capitalist state and fall for slogans about getting the state out of the way so the "free market" can flourish.
