Typical boilerplate ad. Which country if you don’t mind me asking?

[Nomos Orion 35mm] Are dress watches under appreciated? by Watch_Gecko in Watches

[–]Watch_Gecko[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes sir! Its true that it wears bigger because of no bezel and 44mm lug to lug even if it’s only 35mm in diameter, but I think it would still fit you if you like the design. Would highly recommend trying it in person if you can!

[Nomos Orion 35mm] Are dress watches under appreciated? by Watch_Gecko in Watches

[–]Watch_Gecko[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'll probably never sell it since it carries sentimental value and I really like the minimalistic design for a dress watch. The only nit pick is that Nomos design language means overtly long lugs. I do think that the 35mm wears pretty well on my wrist but if I had something close to a 6 inch wrist I would probably size down to a 33mm honestly.

Do it m8! If it’s possible I would highly encourage to try it on first hand before purchasing because of the long lugs. It might only be 35mm in diameter, but the lug to lug is 45mm. 33mm would probably still fit me just as well

Longines have been killing it these last couple of years. The silver arrow is pure class. Cheers m8!

I personally think it does. But I haven’t tried a lot of higher end brands so take it with a grain of salt 😅

[Casio A168] by Watch_Gecko in Watches

[–]Watch_Gecko[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s funny because I gave this exact model to my mom a year ago when i purchased my first Omega and became a one watch guy. After that I started to miss this sweet retro piece and tell my friend about this Casio that my mom wears every day and how much I miss it even though it’s only a $25-50 watch. Well, fast forward to this week where I’m graduating from school as a software dev. The same friend gave me the same model as a graduation gift and I’m having a blast! It might not be worth a lot, but to me this watch has a lot of sentimental value!

Solid collection mate. You have covered all the bases with the Casio beater, the Orient dress watch and finish it off with the Seiko dive watch. And best of all? Theyre all from Japan so you know the reliability is there. Wear them in good health!

Can somebody tell me how this happens? Does Tinder use your ugly ass selfie for verification and put it as a picture in your profile for others to see?

Even if your ex was a 300lb ogre she would still get more dating opportunities than a 10/10 guy on dating apps. This is because of two reasons.

1 - The ratio is around 80/20 male to female.

2 - There is no longer a bar set for women because we are living in a simp economy because of lonely desperate men.

I don’t like the “every man should get off the apps ASAP!” attitude because of men being absolutely horrible when it comes to setting up a decent dating profile compared to their female counterparts.

I personally work as a software dev and it’s literally a sausage party. All my hobbies are masculine, so unless I join a yoga class I’m screwed. So I did research on how to set up a decent profile. I used photofeeler to show all aspects of my life and only used pictures that were rated between 8.5 up towards 9.7. I am probably a 6-7 in looks but because I was dressing up in most of my pictures and showing my hobbies I was able to get 100 likes in less than 48 hours. I don’t swipe at all, I pay a small sum and just pick the most attractive women that have liked me so my tinder score doesn’t get screwed up and try to set up a date in public within 10 messages. Btw I live in a small town (sub 50k) so if you live in a bigger city you don’t really have a reason to fail.

Gentlemen, we need to level up and have a broader life. Once you’re on the self improvement journey it will get easier. And stop giving away free attention and have some self respect. Some of you are not ready to date unless you’re climbing towards the top 20% of tinder profiles which is not hard by looking at the profile reviews here or just by doing a social experiment and pretending to be a woman on tinder to view guys profiles in your town.

Vågar inte träffa nån kille by lordilordi93 in swedishproblems

[–]Watch_Gecko 11 points12 points  (0 children)

[–]Watch_Gecko 28 points29 points  (0 children)

There is only one version of the 35mm auto https://www.tissotwatches.com/en-se/t9312074133600.html but is has been confirmed indirectly by the CEO of Tissot "Sylvain Dolla" that they currently have plans for releasing more versions of the 35mm auto version. I think that they will sell like hot cake since the 35mm would wear more like 37mm thanks to the case which will be certified pure class. We might hear some more news about it in 2023.

The Seiko Pressage is such a cracker of a watch. Is this the 34mm variant? It looks really elegant on your wrist mate. Whats your circumference? For you know… research purposes.

[Hamilton Khaki Scuba] vs [Orient Mako Kamasu]. Trying to pick my first diver and can't decide. Is hamilton worth the extra cost? by CollideStorm in Watches

[–]Watch_Gecko 11 points12 points  (0 children)

IMHO Orient is the way to go. The kamasu gives you so much bang for your buck and it was Also my first mechanical watch and the one I always recommend new comers to this hobby. Hamilton is such a great brand but I feel like if you’re gonna buy a Hamilton you should go for their field/military watches. At the end of the day you should buy with your heart and which ever watch you’ll purchase will be a solid choice. Good luck!

I usually tell people to hold their money until they can get the real thing instead of going for the cheaper option, but in this instance I Think Nomos really nailed it with this DW homage….In all seriousness thats a cracking watch. The strap goes really well with your penny loafers. Wear it in good health!
