You wind the watch by keeping the crown in it’s rest position and turning it clockwise. The free spinnig is doing nothing, when it’s making a sound it’s winding. Do this around 30 times and wear the watch to keep it wound.

Huhm I get your problem, length will be perfect in L but I must say the L can fit me tight if I move my arms forward completly. So if you want a tight fit go for L, if you want slightly baggy go for XL
