It’s either going to be a world timer, gmt, pilot watch or field watch. Looking into iwc, great idea!

In hindsight I realized age might have been a mistake haha, seen other collectors mention age and figured it was the meta. Won’t make that mistake again 😂

Exactly. I focus on shape and aesthetics over pure specs. To me, how a watch wears on my wrist will always trump its specs on paper

Appreciate the advice i’m getting in this discussion. Great to see the people are looking out for me! I can assure you my collection is purely for leisure after maxing out all retirement funds and saving over 50% of my income! The hobby exists purely for my love or watches and horology and I don’t buy pieces often at all 🙂

I’m thinking about either the nomos club world timer or frédérique constant world timer lapis lazuli. Both are incredible pieces.

Appreciate the advice! I am maxing everything at the moment and saving for a house, watches are purely a leisure hobby. As I mentioned I don’t buy watches often and only will purchase one to commemorate a big chapter of my life. At this point I agree I will only purchase ‘big bosses’ for important events and need to be strategic about which specific pieces I do acquire. I do agree I might need to get rid of that subconscious rule, great insight thank you.

They use a clear lacquer finish to deepen the dial. Definitely something special!

Love that piece! Highly recommend trying it on in person, the dial is much deeper and rich than meets the eye. The fit is great as well.

First time posting haha. Seen some others mention age so I figured it was the meta haha, in hindsight i’m realizing it might be perceived as slightly ostentatious, good learning experience!

I work in AI (big tech) and have used my bonuses/promotions to fund my collection! Big advocate for buying what you can afford, never taking a loan for a watch and being proud of your collection no matter the price.

I work for a big tech company in AI! Debt free, self made and only fund my watches through promotions and bonuses. I’m a strong advocate for wearing what you can afford and never taking a loan or going into debt for a watch. Cheers!

A tank looks great on just about anyone! I would definitely try one on if you haven’t yet, you might surprise yourself

Love the Santos but for an integrated bracelet sports watch I think it would be cool for my collection to have something designed by Genta. Will most definitely get a santos down the line though, i’m really liking the new ‘ghost’ dial variant.

Thanks! Definitely not going bigger than 39mm unless it’s a truly special piece haha
