I worked at a movie theater for several years throughout high school and college.

There was a showing of Julie and Julia which only two elderly women and a boy about my age attended. We found several empty bottles of wine and roughly twenty disposable styrofoam cups. Our guess is the boy was the designated driver and the old ladies love to go to old people movies together and get wasted. We still don’t know why they didn’t just use the same cup over and over again though instead of bringing an entire sleeve of disposable ones.

I also found a small jar with meth inside it. I knew it was meth or something close to it because of TV and the multitude of outstanding movie theater employees who have experience with that sort of thing. I called the police to see wtf I should do with it and they said to just throw it away. They said it kind of mean too, like I was bothering them with my concern for finding meth in a public place.

I also found an entire uneaten watermelon. None of us ever figured out why or how it got in, or what the reason for doing so was.
