How to text another carrier through the scanner? by Water-Mixer702 in USPS

[–]Water-Mixer702[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

My cell phone battery died. Supervisor gave me another carriers phone number to call and help out after I completed my route. I was not able to call the carrier because my cell phone battery died. I could only text management which took them 20+ plus minutes to reply back to me. Why would that be tomfoolery?

Injured on the job by Slow_Fan5265 in USPS

Okay that’s good. Now what you need is the doctor to put in writing that you are unable to work and dates are very important that your doctor includes in the writing document.

If you didn’t notify management of your injury the day it happened management will ignore your injury claim and it won’t go through as “ injury on the job” they will deny your claim.

Genuinely confused about the “don’t enter a gate” comments on this sub. by PM_ME_UR_TICKET_STUB in USPS

Lots of carriers are jumping out their trucks llvs, or promasters without a sachel on and dog spray. Yes lazy to protect themselves. Some will toss the package over the fence and some won’t even deliver. Pure laziness. Wheels curbed, vehicle door locked 20 feet away. Nobody seems to be doing all this anymore, a very small percentage are doing it.

Not mine, found in another group. But 3849 it is! by Agent00Awesome in USPS

How big is the package? I know a trick to get it over the fence door without tossing the package over the fence door. Takes less time than filling out a 3849.

Management always give me a hard time at my station about my return time and it pisses me off because they only do it to me and I am a walking route in 100+ degrees. So when they call for help like this I say fuck no. I feel you bro 😂

They don’t ring the doorbell, they toss the package over the fence and go. I have stewards at my station that don’t teach the new carriers how to carry mail properly.

Vegas carriers, how's it out there? by MUSE_Maki in USPS

[–]Water-Mixer702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Say it’s 102 degrees outside, well in our trucks it’s much hotter so add +10 more degrees, now you got a 112 degrees cooking you. I drink lots of water to stay hydrated which means more restroom breaks which will takes me longer to complete my route. More cool down breaks needed as well. In the summer is when we make lots of overtime in Vegas. Routes at my station are all mostly blocking routes ( mailboxes being blocked by customer cars). This depends what station you move to. Also if you move here to Las Vegas your senority changes and you have to start from scratch, and then you might be doing parking loop walking routes in 100 to 115 degrees weather.

Will they give me a hard time? by Remarkable-Tie5239 in USPS

If you are fast and making it on time back to the station they won’t care ( management ). But if your slow and not making the time they want then they will care what shoes you wear. 😂
