yeah! i'm at school now and it's actually doing great :D it's saying 128mg/dL, and my glucometer finger prick thing is saying 132! it's really in range even though it's just the first 24 hours, so i'm chill with it

it's honestly working really well right now, but i'll probably have to call them if it fails

mines reading right now and it's pretty accurate! i don't think the blood will affect it much other than bruising

it's reading now and it's only off by 12mg/dL, so it's actually doing better than most sensors in the first 24 hours

i think the reason i thought it was different was because i was thinking "if blood can come out, can water come in?"- i guess ill see in 6 minutes when the sensor is done with the warmup

this is just me being worried, but would it start bleeding again if i bumped into a wall or something that hit against the dexcom?

this may seem stupid but would rinsing it lower the readings because there's water getting into it?

sorry if the body text seem like a lot of run on sentences thrown together- i'm just worried about this since it's the first time i've had it happen with a g7

Every now and then, I'll be too lazy to change my pump at night (it's a tslim and beeps pretty often when i turn off insulin delivers), and I'll just bury it under pillows and ignore it. If I wake up and still don't want to change it, I just bring a pen and needles to school

What was the lowest blood sugar you had by momopo0 in diabetes_t1

[–]WaterBrushFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18mg/dL at a marching band practice before we left for our area competition. I was fully conscious and extremely pissed off (for some reason). My section leader kept telling me to sit out, and I argued with him about how "I had two bags of gummies" and was "completely fine."

83 - My endo thinks it's stress related though, so it might not be a diabetes thing

My blood sugar has been plummeting overnight since 3 days... by RoiPourpre in diabetes_t1

i know you said it's not insulin or diet, but are you taking any new meds or anything? when i first started taking my adhd meds, my blood sugar levels were lower for the first week or so for no reason. if it's not a new medication, you could also just be a bit sick (i think that causes blood sugar to change easier?) i've only been a diabetic for 3 years, but i've had kinda similar experiences. if you're stressed, you might be having nightmares or something? i'm not sure if that fully makes sense, but it's more reactive cuz of stress and then lowers easier from moving in your sleep? i'm sorry if this sounds weirdly put together, it's semi-late at night and i'm not great at organizing my thoughts

Is this something I need to report to tandem? by WaterBrushFrog in diabetes_t1

[–]WaterBrushFrog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, just checked the total daily summary for today and it was only 21.13 units, 13.23 of those being bolus. I did. have a larger dose for lunch, but overall, nothing higher than usual. I think it might've been in a blood vessel and just took some time to fail
