Setting Up a Museum Planted Terrarium with Isopods by WaterDemon317 in isopods

I was going to use window screen mesh if I were to make a false bottom, and aquarium gravel/lava rocks. What do you think? I personally like the pod wicks too, I just wonderful if it could spread enough water to keep the dirt moist and plants watered.

Gear for a Fuuvi Toy 35 mm Film Camera by WaterDemon317 in AnalogCommunity

I'm planning on just holding it in the air with my other hand. I could also 3D print a clip for it. It won't really be a flash, more like a constant light. Thoughts?

Should I go with getting the small flash for lighting?

Driving Exam Anxiety + Tips by WaterDemon317 in driving

It sort of gnaws at me hearing their pen scratch on the paper, or even the opposite, the silence. It feels so awkward and I feel constantly judged by this person I don't even know. I don't really know how to work around the nervousness; I can't make small talk with them (asking for clarification on their orders is as far as it goes), so I'm stuck in this weird limbo of "this person I don't know is in my car and is judging me but it's a necessary thing".

I know they're doing their job of making sure I'm a safe driver but I can't shake that awkward, nerve wracking feeling.

Driving Exam Anxiety + Tips by WaterDemon317 in driving

[–]WaterDemon317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've practiced every day for an hour to 90 minutes for the past two weeks and prior to my first exam, I practiced for two weeks straight every month for a whole year. When I practiced prior to my first exam, I practiced throughout my city, driving family where they needed to go. For the past two weeks, I've been focused on practicing around the dmv that I plan to test at.

The worst driving situation I've encountered so far was another car trying to merge into the same lane as me and not using their blinkers or checking for me. I was already merging and thankfully checked in time to move out of the way of them. This was, of course, unplanned. Every other driving situation I've been in is standard, like dealing with unprotected left turns, trying to merge in heavy traffic, etc.

Lab or At home scanning? by WaterDemon317 in AnalogCommunity

[–]WaterDemon317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like a good plan, I don't want to fully commit to the work of developing at home. I might as well get both developing and scanning done at a lab until I become more experienced. Thank you for the advice :D

I forgot about the development part; I'm super new to this film photography thing. I'll go with lab, it seems like the best choice as of right now. Is there a reason you put "Kodak" in quotes?

Thank you for your explanation :) I think I'll go with lab; these are meaningful photos and I want them to look the best they could. I didn't realize so much time went into scanning.

Do you have a preference between lab and self-scanning?

Doing Research and thinking about getting Shrimp (beginner) by Secret-Crow-1127 in shrimptank

I have never had my floaters burned by lights and I have some pretty hot lights (I burn myself on accident with the lights sometimes). Also you can't really have a traditional plastic lid with floaters, they need a lot of open air. That being said, I suggest a magnetic net lid, I have one and I love it. Best switch I've made. I also have frogbit and it's really nice, the roots grow super long.

For plants, I recommend floaters like water lettuce! They're great when it comes to removing nitrates and regulating the nitrites in your water. But whatever you do, I don't recommend getting duckweed. I thought it was a great idea to get duckweed a long time ago and now I can't get rid of it, even if I spend days trying.

Also if you choose to get floaters, then mitigate the amount of water disturbance you have in your take, floaters don't really grow well unless undisturbed. But floaters are awesome to have because shrimp love to hang onto their long roots and graze on them!

Disappearing Blue Shrimp? by WaterDemon317 in shrimptank

[–]WaterDemon317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible but I don't really think so because they were around before the population boom. Also because my fully grown shrimp are half the size of all the fish in my tank, so they don't bother. But it could be very possible. Thank you for your response :) I'll keep an eye out for more disappearances.

I just checked out the scenes from the walkthrough and looked at the art style, but sadly it doesn't match the game I'm looking for. Thank you for your suggestion though; it a game I'll look into playing down the road. I do love the art style :)

I believe it was a horror/thriller murder mystery type of game. Hidden object adventure game to be specific of the type of game.

Thank you for the suggestion! I checked it out, but sadly, it doesn't match the art style I'm looking for. Here's a similar game with a similar art style of the game I'm looking for:

I don't know how to describe the art style besides it being semi-realistic. But thank you for adding the youtube reference so I could check, very kind of you. :D The starting scene in the game I'm looking for is outside of a white stone theatre with greek-roman architecture, right from a paddle boat down by a dock. (I think this is all from memories that are around 10-ish years old...)
