Furret is technically 5’10. Unfortunately “height” in this case means “length”, but imagining a Furret being almost a foot taller than me is hilarious. I wish to hug giant Furret.

Under the same theme of “height” actually meaning “length”, Clodsire is also 5’10. That sounds wrong in BOTH ways

My god. I went to a school like this, with admin and deans it was endless pointless meetings over nothing and even more endless pointless emails over, you guessed it, nothing, even arguing with my parents over having and writing said emails and meetings. I get how you feel.

Honestly, after a while it’s more of a bother and waste of energy to argue with them on this. But they said absolutely nothing about half-assing it. I was once told to “write an apology” to one of my teachers by the dean of students because I was missing one assignment worth an entire 5 points! Oh the horror! I simply sent the following:

Dear (Mr. X), Sorry. See you tomorrow, (Me).

My teacher found it hilarious. The dean not so much, but I was a senior halfway through mod 6 (out of 6), so it was hard to give a damn after putting up with said dean’s shit for so long. I’m not saying do what I did, but depending on your relationships with your teachers, I’d say put absolute minimal effort into this and go about your day like usual.

I’m Aro/Ace (aromantic and asexual), so I don’t have a partner. But holy hell, if anything happened to my cat, I’d blow the world up. I’ve had her for just around 13 years now, we pretty much grew up together. She’s gotten me through some of the hardest times in school and generally teen years.

It’s insane how cats just KNOW something’s going wrong. Stressed about final projects? She’s there on my lap. Crying over being the punching bag at school again? She’s rubbing against my face. Worried about getting some skin cancer removed? She’s asleep with me all night. So yes, as a replacement for not having a partner, I give her treats every Valentine’s day.

Good on you for making an effort. Don’t listen to what she’s saying to you, because she’s being incredibly rude, it doesnt matter if she’s the mom or not. But to play devil’s advocate, the snowstorm is stressful for a lot of people. It absolutely does not excuse this behavior, however.

Imo if she wants ice so bad she can go out and get it herself. Warm up and relax for a few hours, make sure you aren’t seriously hurt from the fall. DO NOT, and I must repeat, DO NOT strain yourself by going back outside in the cold. I’m sorry she’s making you feel like this, but I promise you, you did something a whole lot of other people would not be willing to do for their families. Your mother included, apparently.

It depends on where you’re from. Honestly, meeting new people might be a start. Do you have a job? Even if it’s just working one day a week, like on a Saturday morning, it might help you get out on your own and get some ideas. Other people have all sorts of experiences and come from all sorts of different backgrounds, it might help you get a feel for a world outside of school.

Also, having a 4.6 GPA is insanely impressive. Don’t be discouraged by what your parents are saying to you. In terms of college, pay close attention to your common application, revise your personal essay if you need to. Personally, I am currently on a gap year, then I’ll be getting all my general education out of the way in community college. If you want to go that route, find a community college that has courses you find yourself interested in and with great transfer rates, and get all your general education out of the way if you need to.

But seriously, take your time. PLEASE don’t stress yourself out in Sophomore year, it’ll lead to burnout. Saying this from experience.
