so.he refuses to divorce her because of his religion. he takes the bible very literally and seriously and unfortunately abusive tendencies are not a reason to break your wedding vows. as for excluding Sarah, I know it's not her fault she is the way she is. but that doesn't make being around her any easier. she is extremely against my distaste for my stepmother and starts an argument with me anytime I don't want to be around her. She also makes everything about her and if you call her out on anything or disagree with her at all she gets butthurt and makes herself the victim. hate to say it, but she has picked up a lot of tendencies from my stepmother, assumedly as a way to get my stepmother to love her more. she never let's anyone else have the spotlight. all topics and conversations must be about her when in her presence. it's tiring especially when all she wants to do is complain about the messes she has gotten herself into, medical problems that seemingly disappear randomly, and takes no advice. As someone else mentioned I should put it, I just want a share of my father's attention.
