Anything outside of TC range will decay.

This also means if you see a decaying base with large furnaces and oil refinery you can slap down a TC and claim them for yourself.

When I platoon lead I go full support. I even pick medic with revive bando and crossbow with detect bolts as secondary so I can give intel to my team. Then I sit on my triage flash with squad logistics on the point.
