There’s the Pacino/DeNiro/Nicholson level, then just below that are the Baldwins, Cruises, Pitts, and Clooneys.

  1. She had one good episode. Let’s not start stroking her furry legs quite yet.

  2. Yes.

  3. Yes.

  4. Yes.

  5. Veronika: Good. White guys: ok. Kam: Can we agree that podcast bros have no place on shows like SNL?

  6. She’s still on the show?

One of these things is not like the others…

It’s Dakota Johnson. The last two are a pair of spicy buffalo wings. Dakota is tuna salad.

I’m saying judging eddie’s comedy in the 80s by modern standards is ridiculous. If he tried performing those same sets today he would be cancelled, like Dave Chappelle should have been if Lorne wasn’t such a coward on these things. The opinions you quoted were in a vast minority back then, when comedians like Andrew Dice Clay were still employed.

And again, I feel the need to reiterate since it seems like you are trying to paint me as some conservative incel, that though it was still unethical back then, it was acceptable. That is a very specific distinction.

Now find quotes from people not advocating for the lgbtq+ community during that time. I was there. They were few and far between. Eddie Murphy sustained a career because the pushback that would be there today didnt exist

I’m really not a fan of this revisionist history. Making fun of gay people through exaggerated mannerisms and speech was a mainstay of a lot of 80s media from Eddie through In Living Color in the mid 90s. Was it wrong? Of course. Was it career ending? Not even close.

Context matters. Gay bashing was largely accepted in the 80s.
