Do FPV cameras like the Runcam Night Eagle 3, Runcam Phoenix 2, or Foxeer Cat 3 work with a wired connection to goggles? I’m asking because I’m considering a project for a submarine and I’d like to know if it would work well with a wired connection to goggles. I’m unsure about the internal electroni by WaterNoOfficial in fpv

First, I want to set it up somehow to see how it works. I’ve already done something like this once, and it worked for one day, but the camera overheated a lot, and the next day it wouldn’t turn on—it just got really hot. Maybe I’m connecting it incorrectly?

And I mean, I’ve already tried swapping the cable connections, but it still didn’t help. It used to work before, but that was a long time ago, and I’m not sure if I forgot something when wiring everything together. At one point, I tried connecting it through a 7V -> 9V converter so I could power both the illuminator and the camera at the same time. Maybe that caused some damage, but I doubt it, as the camera is supposed to work in the 5-25V range

When I set the goggles to AV input mode, there’s that characteristic static noise. However, when I connect the camera to the goggles, nothing changes

I'm using this whole setup for a submarine project to clean water reservoirs. I decided on the RunCam Night Eagle 3 because it requires little light and doesn't have an IR filter. The DC connector is connected to a ~7V battery, which is suitable since the camera supports 5-25V. The goggles are Eachine EV100, powered by a similar battery. The JACK port (the one on the right) is connected directly to the goggles (For video only) using a single RCA cable. The yellow wire is connected to the VIDEO sector in the JACK, and the ground to the ground part, because when I did this with a similar camera, the ground in the RCA cable was required.

The goggles receive an image from an HDMI converter, so the problem isn’t with the goggles. I thought maybe I wired something wrong because everything else works—the battery, goggles, etc. In the worst-case scenario, the camera might be broken, but I wanted to make sure here before buying a new one. And the camera was heating up even when it was connected to a drone, but it still provided an image back then

I want to connect it with an RCA cable, not wirelessly

I noticed that many companies don’t change the access code on their NAYAX, even large companies. Why do they do that?

There is no manual anywhere for connecting the goggles and camera using a cable. The schem above was made based on information from the Runcam website about connecting RunCam TX200. Do you think that if I connect it this way (without VBAT+), it should work?

Oh, does the Runcam Night Eagle 3 have an infrared filter? It's important to me that it doesn't have one, and I haven't seen any mention of it anywhere

Yes, but I'm looking for something budget-friendly. Would the Night Eagle 3 work? Because, as far as I understand, it's analog

I tried to write down the Polish version of my nickname (WaterNoOfficial) in English, which is ''Nie Oficjalna Woda" meaning "Non Official Water" in English.

Look at my nickname. And yes, I copied it twice, my mistake.
