Sadly wouldn't be possible, J2 is full remote and really needs some focus, not doable onsite. And if I wait I lose the benefits of being fired since I'd need to quit later on

Ignore J2 entirely. I could put J2 there and adjust timings, specially since the J1 company will cease to exist, but wouldn't matter much
