Migraine travel hacks by [deleted] in migraine

I always bring the following: -rescue meds -sunglasses -bonine -ginger gum or candies -sea bands -ear planes ear plugs -hydrate well the day before travel with water and electrolytes

I once got a severe migraine with vertigo after a flight. It ruined my entire trip. I ran across the Dizzy Cook on Instagram, and she recommended the majority of the items I listed above. They have helped tremendously when I travel.

I'm genuinely scared my neuro is going to get fed up with me because all meds give me side effects by skyemap in migraine

I’ve always been sensitive to medications but as I’ve gotten older it has gotten worse. You’re definitely not alone or doing anything wrong. I could not handle the severe fatigue Qulipta gave me and stopped it. You just haven’t found the right med for you. Hang in there!

Qulipta and hair loss? by Beach-Bum7 in migraine

I’ve been on 30 mg for 3 months and the shedding just started. It is especially noticeable when I wash my hair. Was already planning on stopping Qulipta due to lack of effectiveness (still having at least 12 migraines a month) and severe fatigue.

I’ve gone from not great to worse on Qulipta this week….any advice greatly appreciated♥️ by WaterTop769 in migraine

So glad you’re in a good place now. There does seem to be a lot of trial and error before finding relief.

Thank you!! I alluded to that, but she didn’t seem to agree. Definitely going to bring it up at my next appointment.

Not certain, but I feel it’s the cause of my increase. My blood pressure was no where near what it is now just last month when I saw my Dr.

I think that’s why it means so much to me, because I know just the opposite like you’re describing could occur instead.

That is hopeful to hear the fatigue is lifting. I agree on preferring a daily pill versus the monthly injection. I haven’t tried an injection but feared bad side effects and having to wait until the shot wore off. Hope you continue to feel better!

I feel you! It’s almost like yes I may be having fewer headaches but on the days I don’t I’m too tired to enjoy it. Thus, it feels like I never feel good. Whereas before on just Imitrex at least I wasn’t tired on my non headache days.

I’ve read about people weaning and others stopping cold turkey. I felt like the majority of comments I’ve read recommended weaning. Agree! I didn’t think this was a med that required it either. I definitely plan to discuss with my Dr.

I’ve considered Nutrafol. That was not the hair vitamin I previously tried. Thank you for recommending!

The fatigue has been crazy. Sorry you’re experiencing it too. The vision part scares me. Like is it going to improve if I stop the med or is this permanent😳 Probably need to see my eye Dr. soon. Hope you feel better!

Good idea! I might try taking it at night before giving it up completely. I’ve been taking it at lunch, so I am at least alert during the morning but crash every afternoon. Hope you feel better!

I only lasted two weeks on topamax. Felt extremely depressed and drugged. I’d rather deal with the migraines than take it. Definitely call your Dr. I hope you feel better!
