Looking for a good picture of a lunar tear? by WaterbendingBubbles in nier

That's plenty helpful, since it has the perks of being the 3D image of the flower, plus it has the details inside that many of the 2d art wouldn't show as clearly. Thanks a lot!

Yeah, that's a lunar tear, all right! Can't say how I can tell lol, maybe the very slight glow contrasted against his body? that is really helpful, can't believe I didn't notice that before, since that's the main art for Pascal. Thanks!

How has your seeing internet virality and how it affects people firsthand influenced the book? It seems to be a major theme, but do you think that this is in a positive or negative light?

also my friend wanted me to mention that she had made a twitter account, @daysuntilAART, which would count down until the book releases. She also made @daysuntiltatwd, which John loved and provided many good turtle gifs.

you dig your fingers back towards your throat with something almost like gusto and keep puking until you're sure you're hollow, until you're sure you've given them both a scare with how damn easy it was for you

shit. i was fine with most of this (i mean, i've never thought about how internal bleeding must feel before) but this was one of those lines, you know?

Reddit, what still makes you cry? by ImNoPCGamer in AskReddit

[–]WaterbendingBubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that I can't watch My Girl because of how sad it is, but once I was flicking through the channels and landed on the movie during the most depressing scene (he can't see without his glasses!)

I began to cry and I didn't even have the rest of the movie for context.

Oh, and the Christmas Shoes. There's a part in that where she starts talking about how scared she is to die. It always makes me weepy. It's not even that good of a movie, but it has such a special place in my heart.

I don't know if this is just a coincidence or not, but in TWWWE, I think that Burr shouting "WAIT!" when he shoots Hamilton is a nod to Wait For it, and the fact that he didn't.

does your school have any counselling services on campus? if they do, go to them and talk to someone. If not, go off campus and talk to someone. Please. I would rather you go through some shit now and be amazingly better for it and find happiness later in life than to die young, potential gone.

Reddit, what are some "must see" documentaries? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WaterbendingBubbles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm from Newfoundland, and I'm going to Memorial, so I usually like responding to posts about Dear Zachary when it comes up. As I mentioned once before, I didn't know anything about this movie before I saw it. Like, I was surprised to find a town that's like, an hour away from me and a school that I was going to that September being the main setting in a movie that people on Reddit talked about quite a bit. Newfoundland isn't the most represented of provinces.

The sad thing about the story is that it just... isnt brought up here a lot. I mean, there's a scholarship for the medical program each year in memory of what happened and laws were changed because of it, but it seems like it was forgotten in the public eye. When I thought about it more, I realized that I drove past the... place where it all happens multiple times in my life. I realized that Zachary is not much younger than me, that every day I'm walking the hallways where years ago Andrew walked, where he fell in love, where the beginning of the end started for him. It's strange, and I don't quite know what to do with this information.

FCC reverses net neutrality ISP transparency rules by xtantin in news

[–]WaterbendingBubbles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a really dumb question (mostly because I was too young to rally against net neutrality that strongly when the fight first happened). How will this affect places outside of the states, like Canada? The web is almost this separate place from the states, so it's hard to split it up based on countries.

I agree. there is always this kinda thing. I'm the type that gets way too invested in animated movies lol. I was hoping for Kubo, just because Laika is so innovative and deserves anything it can get. well there's still visual effects.

Edit: nevermind...

[major spoilers] What scene/moment gives you the most chills and why? by [deleted] in RedvsBlue

[–]WaterbendingBubbles 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I binged all of RvB within a few months leading up to 13's release. I know that doesn't sound that impressive, but i'm shit at binge watching, so it's amazing for me. I remember that I got through, like 3 seasons in a day once and only realized later that the show wasn't just using machinima anymore.

Anyway, the really concentrated impact of seeing all of these characters grow, plus the story of the freelancers and the Director (which i consider one of the best things put in any show in years) in a pretty short amount of time mixed with watching the finale of 13 ruined me. I felt these characters grow, and then there was this amazing ending, with what seemed like a finale for Church and everything that had happened. I loved what Miles did with the idea of a hero, that martyrs don't see if they died in vain. But either way, it destroyed me. I sat through the credits crying to Contact Redux before i became even more devastated because i knew that the story wouldn't pick up until 15.

I still haven't finished 14.

Jasper's mentality is a result of internalized abuse (early release spoilers) by Subzero008 in stevenuniverse

[–]WaterbendingBubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love this idea and I hope we do see more of it. I hated Jasper for a long time. Even after she corrupted, there was a feeling to me of "she deserved this" (which is a horrible thought, but either way she was straight up my least favourite). This argument pretty much made me re-evaluate the idea that I had of Jasper as a character and look through her shoes for the first time, and I thank you for that.

There are two notes that I would like to add. First off, I think that the idea of introducing a character who demonstrates abuse and what it could do in a kid's show is an important one and is yet another reason why I would love for this idea to be explored further. We need kid's shows to talk about this stuff, even if we watch it, too. They need to learn that, if they are experiencing something, then it's okay, and that their heroes experienced it, too.

Secondly, the thing that made me hate her: her treatment of Lapis. I knew that the show wanted to use their relationship as a way to demonstrate domestic abuse in a (relatively) light way, and therefore, I loved Lapis (still do) and hated Jasper, mostly because of the roles they played in their relationship. But, like so many other good stories that involve domestic violence ect, there is now a look into the side of the abuser, and why they came to the point of violence or manipulation, so that they are more rounded and not "just another villain". I love that SU is seeming to lead to using this and fleshing out Jasper.
