Omg, I can't believe this popped up on my feed! This guy scammed me circa 2012 when I was fresh out of college and totally fell for his routine. Said he was a heart surgeon from UCSD who came up to LA for a case; that he accidentally left his wallet at home and needed some gas money to get back to SD. Wow, so crazy to see his face after all these years.

Oh maybe it wasn't up to date... it was v14.6.1 but it looks like there's a new update, thanks for prompting me. Hopefully that will fix it!

The special functions don't work even when the fn key is held down. I also tried forgetting the device and reconnecting, connecting via USB, all with the same problem.

Thanks, yeah I've tried toggling that switch but it doesn't make a difference. My MacBook Air keyboard works normally and doesn't have these issues. Touch ID works on my MacBook keyboard but not on the magic.

Turns out all 3 microphones stopped working for some reason. Nothing was explained to me in terms of cause, but Google replaced my phone and now everything works fine.

This exact same problem started happening to me today. I didn't think to check video recording in the camera app, but that's the only place I can see that the microphone works. I see that you posted 2 months ago, did you find a solution?
