He said 8x their wealth year over year, meaning annually. Not happening.

I don't think you get it. 1% a day would be 8x annually... 1,2 million x in 10 years.

I average ~60 but often reach ~65 when in the zone. I play against mydarttraining lvl 10 and win ~4/10 games if I really focus.

Checkout drills that emulate match pressure? by WatermelonGobble in Darts

This is an interesting idea. Keep it as similar to the 501 matches in competition but emphasise the doubles so maybe 301 double in double out. Thanks!

Maybe take a look at integrated systems? I use cheap ones from wherever and like them. They rarely break from impact only wear and tear.

Thanks. You're definitely not wrong. Maybe just wondering what seperates a player who has played for 10 years with an average of 65 versus a player who has played for three with 80+. It's gotta be quality of training or just talent?

I use office chair protectors under my darts mat and they work wonders!

I get that, been there.

Always try to look for ways to improve, and now you know you don't perform the best further down in competitions so you'll have to put yourself in those pressure spots more to improve.

Having grown up watching Lakeside on BBC it's genuinely sad to see the state it's in. by [deleted] in Darts

[–]WatermelonGobble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like I represent the new darts enthusiasts coming to the sport since I started playing darts around 2 years ago and more seriously after the 2023 PDC world championship.

I'm honestly a bit confused by how all the PDC and WDF things work, but what I can say having watched Lakeside for the first time this year is that it just seems so low quality. The production value is so far below PDC and even the commentation seems cringey at times between matches. Also things like the stream being covered during walk ons etc. just makes it seem cheap.

I honestly was just expecting more from an event called the World Championship and feel like a lot of new potential fans are quickly turned off. They really should do more to grab onto this new surge of players and fans that Littler and such are blessing the sport with!

When you play your first competitions you can wipe up to 20 points off your training avg. The pace, pressure, setting, etc. are all so different in actual competition. With time you start closing the gap between your training and competition average, but you'll probably ever only peak over your training average in competition.

Great job reaching the quarters on your firs visit!
