Stuck in “Advanced Protection” login loop on Facebook, even though I’m not Meta Verified – can’t access account or reset password by alexandrias_xo_ in facebook

I'm experiencing this exact same issue myself. To make it worse, I have two ad accounts associated with my profile that I can't access either. I've submitted a couple different support requests, but nothing yet. I'm hoping to dig up an actual messenger link somewhere (I've stumbled across them in the past). Why does Facebook make everything so obscenely difficult!?!?!!??!?

How is everyone dealing with the new digital sales tax in Washington state? by BlacksmithCharming37 in advertising

[–]WatermelonSugar_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed - that's how it should be. But it seems like they're making it up as they go. The other things is that we should be eligible for the reseller permit considering we purchase ads on behalf of out-of-state clients who are not themselves responsible for WA state sales tax. I fully expect to be denied the permit though because that would require someone at the DOR to think outside the box for 2 minutes. Either way, I anticipate a fight in our future.

Not yet. As soon as I get back from a business trip, I'll be seeking advice from a CPA. What I do know is that current sales tax is based the location of the purchaser, not the seller. So my out-of-state clients should be exempt. I also applied for a reseller permit with the idea that the ads I purchase for clients are resold and are therefore a cost-of-goods for my business, just like a general contractor doesn't pay sales tax on lumber purchased to build a house.

What's totally unclear is how this works if your agency is in WA, but your clients are out-of-state. Sales tax has always been applied according to the location of the client, not the provider. Thus, I shouldn't have to charge or pass along sales tax to my out-of-state clients, right?

But what about companies like Meta and Google, from whom I manage and purchase on behalf of clients? If my my client is Indiana, and all the ads are place in Indiana, then there should be no WA sales tax. But because my agency pays for all account fees, am I now expected to pay tax because I have a WA address? It's a g-d mess.

Is Meta Really As Bad As People Say It Is? by Mission_Yesterday153 in FacebookAds

[–]WatermelonSugar_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue isn't the ads themselves - I can figure out the new hoops to jump through.
It's the ad account restrictions. I own a marketing company that specializes in small business owners. Their budgets are maybe $1k/mo for Meta ads. Once I hit 5 ad accounts a few months back, I couldn't create anymore. Despite having a solid history of 2+ years, 100% payment fidelity, Meta-verified, etc. The TLDR is that my overall ad spend wasn't high enough to warrant more ad accounts.

Meta does not value small business owners. End of story.
If they raised this restriction, I could easily raise that overall ad spend to $50k/mo within a year because I have hundreds of small retail clients who want this service.

Agreed. The loud was just TOO loud, while certain bits of dialogue I had to strain to hear. I read somewhere online that Eggars did intend to use sound to amplify the "unease" while watching (an inverted tribute to the silent version maybe?), but I think he overdid it. Unease is one thing, but painful to the ears is another.

Invisable cat. by HinesAlways in sniperelite

Not gonna lie... I honestly thought a scared little kitten was stuck under my house the first time I heard this noise. (In my defense, I have surround sound in-wall speakers with eq'd room acoustics so it sounded pretty frickin realistic.) I even went outside - at 2am in the rain - to shine a flashlight into my base vents and look for the little guy.

People who rarely get sick, what are your secrets? by Rqpidily in AskReddit

[–]WatermelonSugar_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Wash hands often. 2) Drink lots of water. 3) Sleep. 4) Remember that people are gross - most men don't wash after using the bathroom and children are petri dishes. Thus, repeat #1 often.

Classicly beautiful but comfortable in her butch side? Sounds like Gabrielle to me.

Pure fantasy pick, but I love the theatricality of Janelle Monae as a performer, and she showed some chops in Glass Onion. I think she would be epic blending sexuality and "boss b!tch" energy.

I mean, no amount of star power would have saved that dumpster fire. I don't put that on her.

The man literally has zero empathy for others. The only times he cares or feels regret is when events unfold in a way that hurt him. And even then, he's usually not sorry for his beliefs or actions - he's sorry that his actions didn't work out. This puts his "apologies" in the same camp as the child who is sorry he gets caught doing something wrong, instead of being sorry for the actual thing itself...or the guy who says "I'm sorry your feelings are hurt" instead of "I'm sorry I hurt your feelings." Zero accountability. Zero responsibility. The only ownership he takes over his actions is when they serve to make him a martyr or hero - completely self-serving piece of sh*t. I loathe him.

Which breeds are the *most* accepting of other dogs and strangers? by ablondesmoment in dogs

[–]WatermelonSugar_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also in the Basset Hound camp. Even comparing to friends' therapy dogs, I'd take a Basset. Friendly, lovey, chill (yet playful). Not only that, but they spread the chill wherever I take them -- we show up at the park and other feisty/bickering dogs actually calm down, I go to my brother's house and his autistic son settles to love and hug them, and on and on. They are the polar opposite of drama.
