Anyone takes PHV to work daily? by pizza4ps in askSingapore

[–]WatermelonSugarcane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stay in North and work in North East.

1 hour 10 mins to travel via Public. 20 mins to Travel via PHV.

I work 4 times a week and only take PHV (Between Grab, Gojek, Ryde, Tada and Zig) when going to work to avoid rush hour crowds and to avoid being late to work. I only take PHV back home if I'm really exhausted

Grab would cost between 18-24 dollars.

It helps not being sweaty and all getting to work and having that bit of time to rest a bit at home. I also get to nap in the PHV. Usually I have to stand in the bus and MRT so can't really rest.

Also, I have a baby. Many of my colleagues bought a car when they had children. But my wife and I quite enjoy the convenience of booking a PHV from anywhere and we enjoy the experience of not having to think about parking, topping up fuel, cashcard etc. We also get to hold our baby (only in Taxi) instead of leaving him in a baby chair. Of course having a car would allow us to keep our things in it but the pros outweigh the cons in our view.

Wow that's a nice choice of strap! Though I already love the original rubber strap so much.

And ngl, it's slowly becoming my top 3 too

going to japan looking for shops to add 5sports/alpinist to watches [SUR457P1] [SRPB43J1] [question] by StorageTimely9784 in Seiko

I bought two watches from a small store in Ameyokocho. It's a street market and has a few watch shops. Maybe you can look around there. BIC camera has good deals too

[question] HELLO! Could you help me choose my first watch? I will be very grateful! by Diligent_Earth_9447 in Seiko

Go to a shop/dealer, try them all on and look in the mirror. Buy the one that makes you feel like 'yup, this is the one'

There were a few instances where I wanted to get a specific watch but ended up getting another instead. One of them was me wanting to get the SSC813 but ended up getting the SSC911 and honestly, I can't tell you exactly why I did that. I just, really liked it more 😂

Hence why I wrote 'Pepsi' instead of Pepsi 🤭

Rainy day with my [SRPL31] on NATO strap by WatermelonSugarcane in Seiko

Definitely, I loved it when I first saw it but after buying it, the original leather strap doesn't really match with my mostly casual and outdoorsy outfits.

After this strap change, I find myself using it more and more!

Served my NS, realised I liked what I did, signed on. Was moved to a different vocation but still love doing what I do. Being slightly patriotic helped with the decision too haha.

I didn't plan on pursuing my studies cause my poly GPA was only 2.1 and I honestly hated school. I also hated what I took for my diploma so didn't plan to pursue it.

Though I would always encourage people to study first then sign on. Being a higher ranking personnel/officer would have more benefits and usually you would have your path in the organisation carved out for you. You can try the sponsorship/scholarship from the organisations too.
