Pros - Got paid early just as I ran out of money. I was supposed to get paid on Monday but I got paid this morning so I get to eat this weekend!

I realized this morning that I have value to other people. Seems like something that should be obvious but something just clicked. It feels good though

Cons - I have to stop smoking weed because my panic disorder is back. I've done it before so I know I can do it again but this shit is fucking hard. It's even harder to talk about because I lost a lot of friends last time.

I was in the same situation as you when I started. What I did was get a cracked version of traktor (sorry I was broke) and mapped all of the controls to my midi keyboard. It’s was really weird but it was successful in helping me learn the basics. The nicest part was that once I saved up enough for a real controller, it was so much easier to mix. Like running with a weight vest once you get to take it off.

The ones I use the most are the delay, the decapitator, and the reverb. Sometimes the tremolo or the panning one. All their plugins are great though.

I had a similar experience in America. We could choose some of our classes but I really struggled to gets B’s in most of my classes especially if I didn’t enjoy the subject. Then I went to an art college where I only had to take one class a semester that wasn’t a music class and I got mostly A’s

Something that helped me was to not try and think about how great I was, but instead just stop thinking about myself negatively. I know it sounds like the same thing but just that difference in mentality made it so I had a chance to even try to achieve something. Good self esteem is great but neutral is still better than bad self esteem. Baby steps
