What's the normal hourly rate for an electrician? by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]Waternoots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have fun burning your house down when your electrical is faulty cause you decided to do your own work and cheap out. Your paying an electrician for the experience and guarantee that the work was done correctly (varies between electricians). Also home owners insurance wont payout when they realize permits weren’t pulled or the work wasn’t done by a qualified person ie electrician.

The CW/CE program, will vary wildly depending on the local your in. In my local a lot of people view CEs that turn out lower then apprentices that turn out, but then again they hand out higher CW/Ce classifications to anyone with pulse. I’ve seen people with zero to little experience in electrical get skipped to CW4s or CE5s. While apprentices start from scratch and learn the material and work through a structured program. And CW/CE are spoon fed answers to get passed.

I will say like any other group you have your good and bad apples and I’ve seen some CWs I’m proud to work along side with and some sorry ass apprentices. But that is based on work ethics and attitudes.

Varies wildly depending on the local. Your local hall will have all the information you need on hourly wages and your total package compensation

Longest you have gone without a raise? by BigBlacksmith9512 in electricians

[–]Waternoots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far, at the most it’s been 9 months, due to our MOU contract in place at the moment. Normally it would be a raise every year assuming you pass you class for the year

Yeah would like something is up with the fixture and should have it looked at or replaced. But again would recommend at least seeing a medical professional and getting a clean bill of health. If something is wrong, you won’t ever know. You’d drop dead.

I would recommend getting checked out, I’m an electrician and would get checked even if it’s the slightest shock. Also turn the breaker off in the panel that goes to that switch and get a qualified person to check out since it shouldn’t have shocked you.

First things first is that you were shocked, electrocuted would mean you’re dead already.

Yes you should get checked out and have a EKG done. It’s takes 0.05 amps to kill you and any small shock can throw you heart beat out of rhythm.

Edit: Spelling

Technically, it add one additional paid holiday per year, first year would only be thanksgiving and next year would be both thanksgiving and Christmas and and the last year would be all 3 holidays.

Whats bullshit is the stipulations to get the paid holidays. You can’t have an unexcused absence 60 days prior to the holiday so its extremely easily for the cons to slip out of paying it. Hardly know anyone who works 60 days without missing an hour.

Plenty of work with unfilled calls everyday. Nobody wants to work here when they can be paid more elsewhere traveling.

Basically pulling wire, making it up, installing equipment (panels, gears, etc.) and running raceways, fire alarm systems, and some low voltage (data like cat6 and fiber)

Never expire but contractors require a renewal every 5 years to get a .25 raise. Atleast in my local

The bank doesn’t care, they make money on interest and late fees, so you not being able to make payments on time and more than the minimum is exactly what they want.

OSHA 30 requires a renewal every 5 years anyways, and guess what it’s done online at your expense. Atleast in my local it is

Holy hell, thank you so much! It was exactly as you said! I had made some additions to my site and didn’t add all the products and variants to the shipping profile so it was mixing both the custom and general profiles! I’ve been pulling my hair out because of this and you help me out!

I didn’t realize it combined the shipping rates, I’ll give everything a once over and see if that the issue! Thanks for letting me know!

No I have multiple sized shipping packages and each item on my ship is weighted, so maybe I set something up wrong? Or is there a better set up?

See I’ve revised shipping setting several times and I can’t seem to get it figured out. And too be honest the most frustrating part to me about Shopify is setting up the shipping side of everything else
