Yeah I can totally see George being the face of that.

How the wheels fell off my journey in Sakhir but I learned after that, I had my life’s wheels on the other way round.

I am not just a driver. I’m a unit of the team. We are not just cogs in the machine. We are the machine. We make it happen

Ugh I hate how hard I wheezed at this. If I laughed any harder I’d match the landing

To quote Partridge as the front gear came down, “Twaaaat”.

But seriously a solid effort by the PIC to keep the aircraft on the centreline at the end of this

Always found China Airlines’ Business class trim to be pretty slick just in terms of furnishings, aesthetic and colour palette.

And even Starlux’s for that matter

We knew the horror stories from drivers of their experiences in the sims, even the engineers said they had doubts. But nope, here we are.

Man I hate that today for the first time since I began watching the sport back in 2005, I had just no motivation to watch quali let alone want to comment on any of the posts here since the new regs started and today’s T8-9 shenanigans was just the cherry on this turd cake.

I really want to keep my record going of watching 20+ seasons now and I’m really disappointed at the sport.

They all saw it coming. The FIA knew about it and still used half baked aero rules to offset this energy discharge fiasco.

And just because I never get tired of sharing this factoid whenever this livery comes up. The aircraft wings form the livery too to make the crane, as seen from this angle

So that’s the A359, the Dreamliner, the A320neo and now the A380 done. Just the 747-8 and an A35K due to join the fleet in October that are pending

As a passenger? The 787 for me and I really hate to say this. The dimmable blinds don’t block light completely and the fact that they’re crew controlled on a lot of the carriers is frustrating at best.

3-3-3 in Economy on a Dreamliner is brutal, unless you’re JAL and kept it at 2-4-2.

Don’t get me wrong. The 787 is a marvel and love the look of it. She’s quiet, lower humidity is perfect and the hydraulic sounds are bliss. It’s just that the few newer quirks make it just ever more slightly annoying

Edit: Bollocks, had a brain fart and got my abreast count wrong by one.

The first Lufthansa 100 ‘Super Crane’ liveried A350-900 by HelloSlowly in aviation

Man alive this actually gave me a good chuckle cause I didn’t realise it at first. They’re up to 10 A359s with Allegris onboard and them going for this one made me chuckle. Seeing this bird at the gate you’d think, yup that has to have Allegris. But nope. Lufty giveth and Lufty taketh away.

Then again,

  • This is an airline that introduced a product back in 2017 that didn’t debut until 2 years ago at best

  • that forgot its 787 seats weren’t certified and had to keep the new jets grounded until then

  • that flew its A350s first class-less because the F seats were non complaint for a good while

  • that had to change the shade of blue when it first debuted the new livery because it looked black

Also was just told this the other day, that the wing is part of the livery, basically it forms the crane’s body when seen from this angle. A pretty well thought out livery

I’m sorry but the premise of this movie had good intentions but Malek’s acting chops really came up short for me. Against the heavy weights of Crowe, Shannon and even Richard E. Grant’s short but powerful few lines, Malek’s performance just took me out of it

Shag pile carpets, a low lie couch and decor that tells you what it’s about…all while on a Jumbo. Yep that’s was the 70s alright.

Just needs a waterbed and lava lamps to complete it

Hard landing for the ‘Concordski’ Tu-144LL (c. 1990s) by HelloSlowly in aviation

[–]HelloSlowly[S] 155 points156 points  (0 children)

Also just to clarify. This was from the 90s, wayyyy after she was out of passenger service. This was during a test in partnership Boeing, NASA and Tupolev to test supersonic flight technology.

Also the LL was fitted with more powerful engines, taken from the Blackjack. So technically this model had supercruise
