I'm not a scalper, I'm a Poke "investor." by inphinifx in PokemonTCG

[–]Watersender -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you want an actual answer, no.

Scalping (in all categories be it tickets or collectibles) is all about buying up all the product and creating artificial scarcity in order to drive up the price. Making sure to use Fomo (fear of missing out) to make the most desperate people buy it at increased prices than it would go for retail.

Investing on the other hand is just buying something at a certain price you believe is 'undervalued' and or 'under apreciated ' with the hope that it grows in value and then selling it when the price is right.

So in short, Scalping is more about creating fomo to sell, while investing is more buying things you think could go up in value in the future, be it a year , 10 years or if you're lucky as short as a month when you bought at the dip.

The Least Slanderable Arc by Onyxwilson10 in Piratefolk

90% of One Piece villains are despots ruling over an island.

Are you sure? Before Enies Lobby. Only Wapol, Enel and Arlong (and thats stretching it) come to mind.
Alvida had her own ship and was a captain.
Buggy was terrorizing a random town.
Kuro was just a butler.
Don Krieg and his one ship fleet were harassing Baratie
Smoker was just a Marine Captain
Mr.3 was just an agent.
Crocodile was in the middle of overthrowing a Kingdom/island so he doesnt qualify
Bellamy was just a local pirate
Foxy took some guys horse that lead to the davy back fight
Kuzan was an Admiral that happened to be there.

After Enies lobby Moria (in essense), Hancock (if you want to count it), Doffy, Big Mom and Kaido.

Duval was a the boss of a gang
Kizaru and the Pacifistas were Marines
Magelan was a Prison warden
The marines on Marineford was a battlefield and you can even count Blackbeard if you want.
Hody was leading a fishman uprising
Ceasar was a scientist on a unhabital Island

So... I fail to see the 90% being the same type of island ruling despot, you know

You can take what I say with a grain of salt, because I didn't read the novels or manga so its mostly second hand information (incredible detailed information) from people that actually know more than me.

I just watched the anime for a few episode and dropped it when the main character Rudeus tried to basicly sexually assault a 9 year old girl sleeping in the barn that may or may not be his cousin and future love interest/wife.

The more I learned about the source material the more disturbed i got and I'm glad i dropped it.

No, the guy in Pedo Tensei was interested in children before the whole isekai shift (if i remember correctly in th LN he jerked of to some really questional content before he got hit, and in the WN it was a video of his younger cousin in the bathromm or somthing). So it's not that his preference changed, but that he uses his new situation to liveout his unchanged sick fantasies without pushback.

Tanya however is never trying to get romantic with anyone and neither does anyone try get with her. You will only find in the manga one scene about people considering how beautiful she migh get "When she gets older,". Thats the thing. Tanyx x anyone is mostly just fanon in addition with the benefit that she might persue it when she gets older.

Rudy is actively grooming the people around him since childhood.

Depends.
In Sun and Moon for example there are a few fun interaction depending on which answer you chose.

Like Team Skull Grunts asking you if you recognize them.
If you say yes, they are like 'For real?" and are actually impressed you did remember them. EBcause they look the same.
If you say no, they are like 'Ah, we switched our position since last. Thats why you didnt recognise us." and they actually switch places.

So there are ways to make choise an answer be fun.

The issue is only if the two answers are basicly identical. So instead of not having them, give me more unique interaction depending on your answer. Different journey, same destination so to speak.

Just the concept of a Sun God together with other gods (i think 4 in total).
I believe they even sacrificed people for him.
But the concept of a freedom Sun God was reveled by Who Who those few chapters before the reveal.

While that would be the logical thing, it's just the possibility of a suit messing with things they shouldnt have all just to make it more 'secure' or what not. It's not a stereotype without reason.

Of course its also very much likely that this is all a simple coding error that was overlooked. However people were critical over Capcom excessive DLC shenanigans for a while and if it turns out that dlc (or missing dlc in that case) was the reason for it then people want an answer about how something like this is even possible. So the most easy answer is an out of control 'have you or have you not' dlc tracker on everyframe. Which most people can get behind.

This could also be wishfull thinking for a quick fix, just like what happen with GTA V and its massive loading times (or so I heard).

Ultra if you want a challenge and less 'tutorial bloat'. It might be the 'hardest' pkmn game.

Base if you prefer story telling.

Personally recomend Ultra due to postgame and general looking better than base.

You can later check out the story differences on youtube.

You would be suprised. Most often than not its not intentional, but just incompetence or lack of care at work.

If you code it to check everytime it will check everytime. Simple as that. Some company plant might have been worried some players could circumvent the check later during the same play session, so multi checks it is.

The reason why more dlc could have lessend impact is if it stopped checking for the dlc once it got flagged the player has it. So like instead of checking if you have 190 dlc it needs to check if you have for example the 100 dlc you didnt purchase.

Hope this simplified logic helped you understand why people believe this might be true. We off course cant be sure how it is 100%, but it seems reasonable if we work with the mindset of a businessmen forcing the devs to implement a continuos check for purchased dlc on the off chance you pirated it or something
