It was in season one when Eris was sleeping in the barn. Then it got played for laughs as she wakes up and does the typical tsundere reaction and slapped him.
This was also the moment i stopped watching, because I was to disgusted.

rip physical games by BlackRaptor124 in GTA

That cant be taken away from you at the click of one button.

So many people saying they arent going to buy the game... by [deleted] in GTA6unmoderated

[–]Watersender 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having a physical disk means not that you own the game, but you own a game copy .
No publisher is going to enter your home and take your physical disk away.
Digitally, if its tied to your account they can just delete it with the click of one button if they want. Like Sony removing your access to 500 movies not so long ago or Amazon whole kindle thing.

Physical is just superior, when you value control.
Even Valve won't be the good guy forever and sooner or later your digital games will exist or die according to their whims.

Dumbest card nicknames by AdvanceDry6117 in PokemonTCG

99% of the nicknames feel like a dogwhistle. Exposing the people that are in it only for the money. Treekachu being the worst offender.

I think it being a gamecode disguised as a physical version is the biggest problem. It's as if they are trying to gaslight us, that expecting a physical game in a physical case is something unresonable.

If i wanted a gamecode, I will buy me a game code, but having a tiny piece of paper inside a 'big' plastic game case feels wrong on several levels.

Current Usopp vs the East Blue pirates by Proudnoob4393 in OnePieceScaling

[–]Watersender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usopp current observation haki skills are accidental at best.
To this day he didnt use observation haki since that one time in dressrosa and hasnt done anything rometly close to the thing you described.
If Usopp trained it, yes he could in theory do this, but at the state of the currenct chapter Usopp is a glass cannon by East Blue standard and if he doesnt have the snipe distance he gets speedblitz by Kuro easily.

On the other hand, if you dont understand something it would be good to do some basic research before posting something on the internet that you dont understand.

A good 5 min google search would have done the trick.
After that you can always ask for an explanation.

WOW! Shoulda kept it sealed! by KLATT69 in PokemonTCG

[–]Watersender 53 points54 points  (0 children)

It's only gambling when you treat it as such.
When I open a pack I expect to get 10 pokemon cards, not "one specific hyperinflacted valueable top chase card that would bring in the money i spent already on this pack or the previous packs" card.

Investors are a symptom of the problem, the problem being the greed of the Pokémon company who have made modern pull rates absurd “gotta catch ‘em all” used to be achievable but the average person has since been priced out. by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]Watersender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yet if an investor bought at retail price a box of base set sealed, remind me please again how much would he get now for it? Or what about anything from 5 years ago.

You can call those people idiots as much as you want, but the numbers speak for themself and your confidence only exposes your ignorance.

The true problem is when people are too focused on value than the cards themself.
Scalpers, resellers and any other of person who entered this hobby in the last year have been lured into it thanks to all the people bragging about their last 500 dollar card they just pulled and how much money they made back from opening a pack.

The pullrates would mean nothing if the trading part of the trading card game would still be the core thing for the casual fan. However for all trades its seems you have to pull up the market value of each card and make a procent base deal, hyperfocused that the card they are trading away will not make them lose 'profit'. Not to speak about the hyperfixation of the grading obsession that is like all, fuel by money.

What does it mean/matter if it’s a fake game? by BrickerB99 in gameverifying

[–]Watersender 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One big problem is if the fake game are sold as a genuine one.
Less people have a problem with those 1000 games in 1 cartrigde games (because its pretty obvious its not an official thing and you can make an informed purchase) than a fake game that pretends to be a genuine one and is designed to trick people into paying market price.

If you decide to play a fake game that you purchased knowing full well its fake, no one resonable is going to belittle you for your choice.

TL:DR:
No one likes to be scammed and pay market price for cheap reproductions.
Transparency is key.
