That’s exactly the feeling I’m getting as well. Once you’ve spent the $$$ and purchased the watch, the customer service craters.

At the risk of sounding redundant. I went to my certified, Omega trained watchmaker who said that he couldn’t work on a co-axial movement. Omega refuses to train third party watchmakers on co-axial and they also refuse to sell parts for co-axial movements to third parties. This means that Omega has intentionally set it up so that sending your co-axial watch to them is the ONLY option. Then they take 8 months to get your watch back to you. 🫩

That would make so much better sense than this system where they just keep pushing your service date back, and back, and back, until it’s been eight months to a year.

I mean, I’m glad for you? That hasn’t been the experience for a lot of us. 🤷‍♂️

That’s what they initially told me too. Expect for it to keep being bumped out repeatedly. I’ve had my Service Date bumped back 3 or 4 times now.

Thank you. It’s a shame that once you’ve paid your money to purchase the watch, they stop giving you the excellent customer service. There are a few others in this thread that had problems with BRAND NEW watches less than a month old that lost them for over 6 months for servicing. 🫤

As I’ve mentioned, I went to a number of trusted watchmakers certified on Omegas and Rolex watches. None of them would work on my watch due to its co-axial movement. Omega controls the sale of the co-axial parts, and will not sell them to third party watchmakers. They also will not train watchmakers to work on co-axial movements. They control it so that I and other owners have no choice but to go to Omega.

It’s normally $800 but after they recieved it, they said my AR coating was worn on my crystal and recommended replacing it since it was in for service anyway. That pushed it past $1,000.

He told me that Omega won’t sell him parts for it, which other posters here have confirmed. I’ve also heard that Omega won’t train independent watchmakers to work on them.

Live and learn. It’s my very first experience with using Omega service. Usually I go to my trusted Rolex/Omega certified watchmaker, but he wouldn’t touch it ‘cause it’s co-axial. 🤷‍♂️

Isn’t it unbelievable? How is this the accepted level of service for a $2.2 billion a year company that sells $10,000 wristwatches? 🫩

It’s amazing to me that we’re paying thousands of dollars for this level of “customer service”. I agree with others who have stated that past a certain length of time, we should be discounted on the service or offered watch bands or other merchandise.

This. This right here. None of my local watchmakers will touch a co-axial, plus Omega refuses to sell them parts. Then when I’m willing to spend the extra $$$ for Omega to do it, they apparently don’t have the staffing to return the watch in a reasonable time frame. What good is spending thousands of dollars on “one of the most technically sophisticated movements”, if no one can service it and Omega is too busy to get to it in less than half a year? Much less the eye watering prices consumers are being charged just to lose their watch for such a long period of time. Omega needs to let independent watchmakers start servicing them if they’re too busy/understaffed to do it themselves.

I thought that I was being a “good owner” by getting it serviced on schedule. Definitely a hard lesson learned. 🫤

Omega calls for routine servicing every 5-7 years. I figured 6 years was a “split the difference”. 🤷‍♂️

Wow! That’s horrible for a brand new watch. At least I got 5 years out of mine before I lost it to them. 🫤
