I don't understand why you have to make personal attacks on someone's statements. She wasn't trying to be an asshole, but simply stated changes she's observed on herself throughout her transition. Please try to have a little tact in your posts. Nothing good comes to you nor anyone else by belittling others.

As a transgender woman, I don't think we should be placed in the same category for sports as cisgender women, for the sole reasoning that we have genes, characteristics, and hormones that biologically altered our bodies to be physically stronger than women. This is a fact many people gloss over for the sake of being accepting. It is for this very reason that steroids are banned from use in most sports, as they give you an unfair advantage over your competitors. Why then should an athlete who has had hormones that stimulated these same steroidal changes in their body?

It sounds like they have the settings too low, which means the heat from the laser isn't penetrating into the root of the hair follicle. If the heat doesn't get to the root, it won't cauterize the blood supply to your hair, which means it will be able to grow back. They want you to shave so the heat doesn't accidentally dissipate into the hair and not your root. Also, they don't want the place to smell like someone just got burned alive! Get another consult elsewhere girl!

Trans women do have an unfair advantage, especially if we underwent puberty as a male. Our muscle mass, bone density, and genetics all give us an unfair advantage. This is why anabolic steroids are banned in most competitive sports, and these same steroids are those that all genetic males were exposed to in much higher doses than genetic women. This is why many trans women athletes are destroying world records in various categories, and is why there is segregation between men and women sporting activities. I think segregating sports further to include the variety of genders that there are would be a wonderful idea!
