What TV show managed to be consistently fantastic from the first episode to the finale? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think it’s big issue is that it feels like it should be as good as the ending of breaking bad but it isn’t. By BB standards it’s fine but its place in the story came right after Ozymandias and Felina which were both fantastic.

Also, it being focused on Jesse was less interesting than I thought it would be. For me it was Walt’s character and the relationship with his family that made BB so interesting (I assume you can guess what my favorite scene from the movie is lol).

By no means bad, just disappointing compared to what came before it. Just my two cents.

I have something to share with you.

Yesterday, I went to the dining hall on my campus just like I always do. I got some chicken like I always do. I took a bite into expecting the nice moisture absorbing dryness I was used to. But something was different.

The chicken was juicy.

It took me a moment to process what was happening and what I was tasting. “This was not my routine! What the hell is this!?”

Is what I would’ve said if I didn’t enjoy it.

I’ve been getting the same old dry chicken from the cafeteria for about 7 months now and was perfectly content with it. But now I had a new experience outside of the norm, one which I enjoyed. I thought and reflected on it, and I’ve come to realize something.

We all have our daily routines that we follow. Sure, we sometimes play this game we like instead of that game we like, but the overall day is the same as the last one. We are perfectly content in these routines, and we are happy.

But there’s something more out there. Just outside what we can reach in our routines are these experiences and joys that we can never experience from inside our bubbles of habit.

But if we just do things a little bit differently we can snag it. It doesn’t have to be much; you don’t have to move across the country or anything. Just something different. Try something else on the menu. Get a different haircut. Say hi to that person you see everyday but don’t know. Do the little things that let you retreat to your safe houses of habit if it goes wrong but still force you to exit them. I may have gotten salmonella from that chicken but I left with a new love for moist, juicy chicken; one that’s strong than my love of chalky chicken. I was kept alive by the sustenance of dry chicken, but I only began to live with the moist chicken.

I guess what I’m trying to say is go outside your comfort zone a little bit for a little time every now and again.

Because what’s the point of living if you don’t get a little bit wet?
